In Just three weeks we set out from our door step to hike east 82 miles to the Chatham Lighthouse!
We will be filming the trek and posting updates day by day, so you can follow along. Even better yet, join us on the trail and together, step by step we will hike for a harmonious world!
Intended plan (there is always room for changes, detours etc)
Day 1: September 22nd - Westport to New Bedford ~ 12 miles
*if you plan to join us on this day, just a fair warning, this may be the day with the most tricky parts, within the first couple miles we have to cross route 88 and route 6. We plan to hike along a gas pipeline, that may be overgrown or simply too boggy. If that proves to be the case we will have to alter the route to walk on streets.
Day 2: September 23rd - New Bedford to Mattapoisett Town Wharf ~ 10 miles
*this trek mostly features walking on the pheonix bike path
*end of day we will be getting a boat ride across Buzzards Bay to Pocasset ~ 6 miles across the Bay
Day 3: September 24th - Pocasset to Mashpee Village ~ 12 miles
Day 4: September 25th - Mashpee to Hyannis ~ 14miles
Day 5: September 26th - Hyannis to Dennis Port ~ 11 or 13 miles
Day 6: September 27th - Dennis Port to Chatham (Lighthouse) ~ 14.5 miles
*Again, that is rough sketch of the route plan, as there are always unknowns and we may take one day along the route to rest. If you want to join us on one of the days then directly get in touch, text 774-264-0786
