You are enough. No matter what anyone says or does, and no matter how you might temporarily feel about yourself. You are always enough.

You do not need to be anyone else. You do not need to do anything different. You do not need to harshly compare your self to others. You are enough, just as you are. Be you and be true to yourself. YOU ARE ENOUGH.

As much as we want people to understand us, to understand where we are coming from, or see things from our perspective, the only thing we can control is our OWN perspective.

This means your own understandings and viewpoints of yourself are the only thing that matters. It is hard to not let other people’s thoughts or opinions effect us, but we have to remind ourselves that we cannot make everyone happy. We cannot make everyone understand.

There is an irreplaceable peace that comes in accepting this, and learning to accept other people, while also learning the only thing you can control is YOU.

A prayer for acceptance, change, wisdom, and self reflection. This prayer is important to those in recovery, but it is also important for everyone. It is asking for peace from God through knowing we do not control all things, but we can work on our own self. Ask God for this strength and courage to guide you.

To accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And the Wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time.
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,
Taking, as he did, this sinful world as it is,
