Dorothy Davis Hoyle of Shelby, NC, passed away peacefully on July 15th, 2026, at Peak Resources in Cherryville, at the remarkable age of 98.

Born on December 21st, 1927, Dorothy, affectionately known as “Dottie,” or “Aunt Dot,” grew up on the banks of the First Broad River in Lawndale. She was the daughter of the late Forrest A. Davis and Nettie Morrison Davis.
