James Edward Chalfant, 65, of Cincinnati, OH, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at The University Hospital in Cincinnati. Born on September 26, 1960 in the same hospital he passed away in, he was a son of the late Ernest Clark and Bobbie Jean Butler Chalfant. On March 18, 1984 he married Rebecca Massey Chalfant and she survives his passing. James was a self employed contractor, a proud family man who loved them deeply, and enjoyed fishing and talking on the cb radio.
In addition to his wife Rebecca, he is survived by 4 children, Angela Massey, James (Jennifer) Chalfant Jr., Natisha (Chuck) Noble, Ernest Clark Massey, 3 siblings, Patricia Thacker, Jane Brandenburg, Linda Temke, 14 grandchildren, Kayla, Cheyann, Courtney, Dallas, Savannah, Jesse, Kansas, Georgia, Peyton, Logan, Lillian, Olivia, Dakota, Bentley, 5 great grandchildren, Devin, Ella, Brooklyn, Julian, Deluca, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 3 siblings, Norma Jean Reeves, Ernest Chalfant, and Andy Chalfant.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at Woodhead Funeral Home in Falmouth. Pallbearers for the service will be James, Chuck, Dallas, Jesse, Logan, Justyn, Drew, Nick, and Michael. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery. The visitation will be held from 11-1 preceding the service at the funeral home.

James Edward “Jimbo” Williams Jr, 60, of Falmouth, KY, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. Born on April 4, 1966 in Cynthiana, KY, he was a son of the late James Williams Sr and Rosa Smith Whalen. He was a carpenter and enjoyed fishing, playing guitar,and riding motorcycles.
He is survived by a son, James Slade, 5 grandchildren, Jada Ewalt, Maurice Perkins III, McKenzie Slade, Mylee Perkins, Hunter Slade, 5 siblings, Marie Winkle, Janie Nunnelly, Rhoda Crump, Sherry Franklin, Tammy McDaniel, several aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends, Marty Beagle, Greg McKinney, Kathy Bishop, Sherry Crouch, and Ethel Morris.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Stacey Slade, a brother, Derek Gene Smith, and his grandparents, Mamaw and Papaw Williams and Mamaw and Papaw Smith.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 12:00 noon at Woodhead Funeral Home in Falmouth with Bro. Michael Cannon officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be Rodger Colemire, Braxton Colemire, Landon Colemire, Oakie Barnes, Matthew Hollingshead, Derrick Brearton, Brandon Winkle, Dakota Winkle, and Caden Winkle. Honorary pallbearers will be Chase Colemire, Gabriel Brearton, Tyler Franklin, and Gannon Crump. Burial will follow in the Sunrise Cemetery. The visitation will be held from 10:30-12 preceding the service.

Doshia Ellen Baker, 82, of DeMossville, KY, passed away at her home on Sunday, August 16, 2026, after a valiant battle with many health challenges and the love and support of her family. Born on July 27, 1944, in Leslie County, KY, she was the fifth of nine children born to the late Beecher and Mildred Campbell Baker. Throughout her life, Doshia’s work ethic, reliability, and good nature, served her well as a model employee in all of the positions she held. She worked for Duro Bags in Covington, KY as a machine tender, for Sam’s Club as a sample hostess, for the former Twin Fair in Latonia, KY, as head of the stock department, for Wal-Mart in the Home Goods Department , at the Grassy Creek Grocery as a sales clerk, and most recently as a machinist at Pittsfield in Butler, KY. Doshia was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, DeMossville, KY, where she was active for many years.
Doshia loved her family dearly. She was a talented quilter, who gifted many with her incredible creations, and an avid reader.
Surviving to cherish her memory are three children blessed to have her as their Mom: Sherry Ellen DeWald, with whom she lived since 2010, Terry Foister Baker (Donna) of DeMossville, KY, and Jason Ruben Baker (Patty) of Taylor Mill, KY; three grandchildren who loved their Mamaw: Corey Grant DeWald, Rachel Nicole DeWald, and Trent Steven Baker (Leah); one brother Marvin Baker (Shirley) of Hyden, KY; and a host of extended family and friends....

Justin Daniel Hitch, 25, of Highland Heights , KY, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at University Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. He was born on August 15, 2000, to Daniel Hitch and Amy Hagemeyer. He was a carefree spirit. Firstborn and a Leo, he plowed his own path with no regrets and no one's permission. Never fearing a consequence, he set out to do things his own way. He loved adventure, adrenaline, and his family!

As the firstborn with a flair for adventure, he and his mother shared a quirky sense of humor, giving spirit, and unconditional love for all. His father shared his love for hunting, camouflage, and fi****ms. They bonded over adventures outdoors, always looking forward to the next hunting season. His relationship with his siblings was typical for three people so close in age and sharing toys, games, and a bathroom. There were fights, there were ups and downs, and plenty of outbursts. It was only acceptable if Justin was the one bullying them, he would protect them just as quickly as he'd insult them.

Justin loved the outdoors and wind therapy. The day only got better if there was also a furry friend to cuddle; always rescuing animals or bringing home a dog without permission. His love for things smaller or weaker than him, shows his great compassion and his soft heart. He had a heart of gold. He could be down on his luck, smoking his last Marlboro, and give you his only five dollars. He gave even when he didn't have much to give....

Larry O. Fields, 90, of Falmouth, KY, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the Cedar Ridge Health Campus, where he had been a resident for seven months. Born on July 26, 1936, in Bracken County, KY, he was a son of the late Chester Omer and Christine Simpson Fields. For over 30 years he worked as a machinist with General Electric in Evendale, OH. On June 7, 1958, Larry married Janice Carol Jones Fields, and they were blessed with 63 wonderful years of marriage, filled with faith, family, and friends as he took loving care of her until she preceded him on April 28, 2022. Always together, they made the most of every day and brightened every room they entered. Larry was a member and deacon of Blanket Creek Baptist Church, Pendleton County, where he took an active part in many church activities and projects. He belonged to Woodmen of the World Lodge #611, supporting their activities and representing the local club within the state. A U.S. Army veteran, Larry was also a member of the Hardin-Browning Post #109. He and Janice enjoyed square dancing with friends, vacationing in Florida for many years, supporting the community they loved and cheering his beloved Kentucky Wildcats to victory. Larry’s good nature and contagious sense of humor guaranteed to make any gathering/event he was a part of more fun and memorable. Dallas Gene Hensley 79, of Falmouth, KY, passed away on Friday, July 30, 2026, at his home. Born on February 14, 1947 in Davis County, IN, Dallas was one of eleven children born to the late Effie Longworth Hensley and Aaron Hensley. In May 1971 he married Sue Carol King Justice at the Falmouth Christian Church, and together they were blessed with 39 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on Dec. 20, 2010.
In July of 1972, Dallas purchased the late H.C. Snapp’s poured foundations and cisterns concrete business, which began his career as a self-employed concrete contractor, serving many builders, farmers, businesses, and homeowners in Pendleton, Harrison, and surrounding counties. In 1974, his brother Kenny Hensley joined him in the business. With his strong work ethic and reputation for meticulous attention to detail, Dallas earned the trust of many, resulting in the steady growth and success of his business. Dallas loved children, and he cherished every opportunity he got to talk and spend time with them. St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital held a special place in his heart, and he always supported their mission.
Surviving to cherish his legacy are four siblings: Kenny Hensley (Janet), Bonnie Kendrick (Ken), Bertha “Bert” Lea, and Beverly Dunn (Tom); his step-son Tony Justice (April); several nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family, friends, and customers.

Sylbina Kay Lawson Traylor, 73, of Falmouth, KY, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 24, 2026, at her home. Born on August 19, 1952, in Covington, KY, she was a daughter of the late Archie and Mary Thornberry Lawson. On October 2, 1990, she married Bill Traylor, and her dear husband and caregiver of 35 years survives her passing. For 25 years, Sylbina worked in the welding department for Pittsfield. Previously, she worked for U.S. Shoe, Dr. Scholl’s and Kenner’s Generator Shop. Sylbina loved her family.
Surviving to honor her memory are her husband Bill Traylor; her sons: James (Jamie) Lawson, Buddy Eaton (Lindie), Charles Eaton (Jessica) and Dale Smith; her sister Arlene Fodor; two brothers: Larry Lawson and Ronnie Lawson; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Danny Eaton on May 3, 2002 and her sister Helen Riley.
Private graveside services were held at 2 pm on Monday, July 27, 2026, at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Pendleton County. Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, is honored to care for the family.
