We love helping women find the right contraception options for them! Every woman has different needs, but if an IUD is an option you’d like to explore, we are here to help!

What to expect with insertion:
The procedure is done right in our clinic and doesn’t take very long to place. Some cramping is normal during placement, but most patients tolerate it well and return to normal activities the same day. We aim to help provide comfort during this time as well!

Pain management options — because your comfort matters:
We offer a paracervical block, which numbs the cervix to significantly reduce discomfort during insertion. This is a great option for patients who are anxious about pain or have had difficult insertions in the past.

How long do IUDs last?
• Hormonal IUDs: 3–8 years
• Copper IUD: Up to 10–12 years
• Many hormonal IUDs also reduce heavy menstrual bleeding and cramps
