🌾🌸 Meet Angel, Care Coordinator at Prairie Rose Services! 🌾🌸

Angel brings a unique combination of lived experience, professional training, creativity, and heart to the Prairie Rose team. His background spans recovery, su***de prevention, restorative practices, LGBTQ+ advocacy, youth services, peer support, and the healing arts.

Originally from South Florida, Angel's journey has taken him from western North Dakota to NDSU, where he earned a degree in Theater Arts with a minor in Wellness, and later to New York City. While in NYC, Angel studied trauma-informed performance, participated in street ministry, and built relationships with people from all walks of life—including individuals experiencing homelessness, addiction, and other significant life challenges.

After returning to North Dakota, Angel gained experience in healthcare, worked as a teaching artist with youth facing barriers, became a Certified Reiki Master, and served Fargo Public Schools as a Student Success Advisor using restorative practices and relationship-centered approaches.

Angel's own journey eventually led him to build a life centered around recovery and become a Certified Peer Support Specialist. Today, he brings that experience to his role as a Care Coordinator at Prairie Rose while also co-instructing a Domestic Violence course at The Ridge.

At the heart of Angel's work is a simple belief: meet people where they are, honor their story, and create a space where they can safely be themselves.

Angel hopes to pursue graduate studies in social work and eventually create a community-based, healing-centered recovery theater.

We're grateful Angel's journey brought him to Prairie Rose and excited to watch him continue to grow alongside the people we serve. 💛

Welcome to the Prairie Rose family, Angel!

🌾🌸 Please help us welcome Frankie to Prairie Rose Services! 🌾🌸

Some people come into this work with experience. Others come with heart. Frankie brings both, and we feel incredibly lucky to have her joining the Prairie Rose family. 💛

Frankie has spent years showing up for people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Her background includes nearly three years as a Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Advocate, six years as a dispatcher, a year in Emergency Medical Services, and more than a decade of community healing work alongside people who have experienced trauma, loss, and disability.

Her advocacy experience has also included working with survivors of human trafficking, as well as women incarcerated in Cass and Clay County Jails, where she helped facilitate Healthy Relationships Groups and created space for women impacted by violence, abuse, and trauma to learn, heal, and recognize their own strength.

But what stood out to us most about Frankie isn't something you can put on a résumé.

She genuinely sees people.

Frankie believes people are so much more than the circumstances that brought them to services. She has a gift for recognizing the good in others and reflecting it back to them—especially during the moments when they may have a hard time seeing it themselves.

She believes in connecting passion with purpose, meeting people with compassion and without judgment, while still encouraging growth, accountability, and hope.

That is exactly the kind of heart we want at Prairie Rose.

We are so grateful that Frankie has chosen to bring her experience, compassion, and passion for people to our team. We know she is going to make an incredible difference in the lives of the people we serve.

Welcome to the Prairie Rose Family, Frankie. We're so happy you're here. 💛🌾🌸

Yesterday, Prairie Rose Services had the opportunity to attend the Fargo Police Department Community Picnic, and we had such a great time connecting with our community! 🖤🤍💙

We were planning to keep a couple of these faces a mystery just a little longer... but we decided it's time for a soft launch. Here they are in all their glory—our growing Prairie Rose Family!🤩

We truly feel like we've assembled an absolute A-Team. Each person brings their own experience, heart, passion, and strengths to Prairie Rose, and we couldn't be more excited about what this team is going to accomplish together.

We are incredibly grateful and blessed to see Prairie Rose continue to grow—and even more grateful for the people growing alongside us. 🌾🌸

Official introductions coming soon... 👀

🌾🌸 A very special moment at Prairie Rose Services .🌾🌸

Today, we officially dedicated a small space outside of Prairie Rose in loving memory of Britani Rose—the person whose name, story, and memory are forever woven into the heart of this agency.

Our staff gathered together as we placed her memorial plaque beneath the wind chimes, and each person shared a few kind words. It was a simple moment, but an incredibly meaningful one. 💛

Britani may not physically be here to see what Prairie Rose has become, but her story continues through this work and through every life that walks through our doors.

Now, when the wind blows and those chimes ring, there will always be a little reminder of why Prairie Rose exists, who helped inspire it, and why we keep going.

Prairie Rose was built from love, loss, and hope—and Britani will forever be at the heart💛

Today, we installed a One Box stocked with Narcan and personal protective equipment, making this life-saving medication more accessible. Every box represents another opportunity to save a life, because we can't recover from what we don't live through.

A huge thank you to Fargo Cass Public Health for providing Prairie Rose Services with our One Box and two cases of Narcan. We are incredibly grateful for your commitment to keeping our community safe.

Pictured is Leah and our Founder, excited to continue expanding the resources available at Prairie Rose Services.

Now... you may notice two extra helping hands in this photo. 👀

Who could they be? Stay tuned... we'll be introducing the newest members of the Prairie Rose Family very soon.💛 After all, there's always something new budding at Prairie Rose. 🌸🌾

🌾🌸Growth takes time—and sometimes it takes a few helping hands. 🌾🌸

This week, we made another step toward turning Prairie Rose Services into a place of hope, healing, and remembrance.

A huge thank you to our Founder's sister, Brandi, and her boyfriend, Jake, for spending their time helping plant and lay the mulch. Your hard work means more than you know.

Brandi also had the special honor of hanging one of the two wind chimes that will be part of Britani Rose's memorial garden—a peaceful space created in her memory and for everyone who visits Prairie Rose Services.

While we weren't able to find Prairie Roses to plant this year, they'll have a special place in the garden next season.

Our building is still getting its facelift, and we can't wait to reveal the finished space. In the meantime, we're just as excited to watch these plants take root, grow, and bloom—just like the hope we strive to cultivate every day.

Brandi and Jake, thank you for being part of this journey. We are incredibly grateful for your love, support, and willingness to help bring this vision to life. 🌾🌸

🌾🌸Another neighbor housed. Another reminder of why this work matters.🌾🌸

Our Founder, Briana, recently had the privilege of helping JN move into housing. This is a milestone that has been years in the making.

Briana has known JN for the past four years and has walked alongside him through both homelessness and periods of being housed. If there's one thing she's seen firsthand, it's just how life-changing stable housing can be.

JN is one of the kindest people you'll meet. He's always willing to lend a hand to those around him and genuinely enjoys working. But finding and maintaining employment is incredibly difficult when you're focused on surviving without a place to call home. Now, with a safe place to live, he's excited to get back into the workforce and continue building the life he wants.

At Prairie Rose Services, we believe recovery is about more than sobriety—it's about stability, hope, opportunity, and having the chance to thrive. Time and time again, we see that when people are housed, substance use often decreases, mental health improves, and employment becomes a realistic goal instead of a distant dream.

We do recovery, and JN is proof of what can happen when someone is given the foundation they deserve.

Congratulations, JN. We can't wait to see what this next chapter brings. 🏡🌾🌸
