Heart-n-Soul Community Café is committed to creating a community where everyone has access to nutritious food, meaningful relationships, and a seat at the table. Through their pay-what-you-can model, guests are invited to contribute what they are able, volunteer their time, or simply come and enjoy a meal. No one is turned away because of an inability to pay.

More than a meal, Heart-n-Soul fosters belonging, dignity, and connection by bringing people from all walks of life together around the table. Their mission aligns closely with our belief that recovery, healing, and community happen when people feel welcomed, valued, and supported.

25 Years On. Still Needed.

This year's International Overdose Awareness Day carries a particularly heavy meaning for our team at The Ridge Treatment & Reentry Center.

Just this week, we lost a cherished colleague to an overdose. As we grieve alongside those who loved them, we are reminded that overdose is not a distant issue. It affects our friends, our families, our coworkers, and our communities. It impacts people we know, care about, and deeply value.

Today, we honor the memory of those we have lost. We hold space for those who are grieving. We stand with those who continue to struggle. And we celebrate those who are finding hope, healing, and recovery.

The 2026 theme, "25 Years On. Still Needed.", reflects a difficult truth: we should not still need this day, but we do. Until overdose is no longer taking lives, we must continue to speak openly, reduce stigma, expand access to treatment and recovery support, and meet people with compassion instead of judgment.
