Our Breckenridge team's Home Health and Hospice celebration kicks off next week on Tuesday, November 3rd, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM (or until supplies run out).

Our bake sale will feature a variety of home-baked goods, and our plants are ready for a new loving home. 🚨DON'T FORGET: Sip & Sip will also be in the parking lot from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

CHI Health at Home – Bismarck We Honor Veterans and Missouri River Quilts of Valor had the honor and privilege to award Dale D. with a Quilt of Valor during his Veteran Pinning ceremony. His sister, Corlee E. was honored to participate in his wrapping. Dale was also presented the Vietnam War Commemorative Pin.

Dale enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1966. He completed his basic training at Fort Bliss, Texas and his AIT at Fort Gordon, Georgia. Dale was then sent to Seoul Korea and served with the 8th Army Headquarter Division. Next, he was stationed in Saigon, Vietnam and worked at Mac V4 Headquarters for the Vietnam War for one month where he had clearance. He then returned stateside and served at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. Dale was honorably discharged in 1969. His rank at discharge was E5 and his MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) was Communications.

Dale earned many medals and awards during his military service.

CHI Health at Home – Bismarck We Honor Veterans and Missouri River Quilts of Valor had the honor and privilege to award Charles G. with a Quilt of Valor during his Veteran Pinning ceremony. His nurse, Krissy S., was honored to participate in his wrapping.

Charles enlisted in the U.S. Army in June 1954. He completed his basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, followed by his AIT
(Advanced Individual Training) at Gary Air Force Base in San Marcos, Texas, for troop training. He was then sent to Seatle Washington, and then overseas to Camp Casey South Korea 7 miles south of the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone). Charles was honorably discharged in early May 1956. His rank at discharge was SP4 (E4) and his MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) was Aircraft Mechanic. He maintained both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters.

Charles earned many medals and awards during his military service.

A shared memory was receiving an excellent education. Charles learned a lot about how other people lived and their cultures. Seeing how Korean people lived with very little made a lasting impression on him and gave him a deeper appreciation for the many opportunities and resources available in America.

Charles, on behalf of the United States, CHI Health at Home We Honor Veterans, and Missouri River Quilts of Valor, thank you for your service and sacrifices for our freedoms!
