CHI Health at Home Annual Hospice Tree Planting - Garrison

Wednesday, June 3rd at 1:00 p.m. at CHI St. Alexius Health Garrison Hospital

Each year in June a memorial tree is planted in memory of our hospice patients who have passed away. Families are invited to a service where the names of the deceased are read and a candle is lit in their memory. The deceased's name is written on a wooden heart and families can place their loved one's heart in the hole with the tree along with any mementos and notes the families have written. We gather around the tree and families are encouraged to place dirt in the hole. We will release butterflies in their memory. Families are then invited for fellowship, cake and refreshments.
