🐾 A Purr-fect Afternoon of Love & Remembrance 🐾

Our Activity Team always seems to have something up their sleeve… and today, it was a little surprise outing for our residents! ❤️
This afternoon, we headed to Furball Farm Cat Sanctuary in honor of the many wonderful people we’ve had the privilege of caring for and befriending over the years—especially those whose hearts belonged to cats. 🐱💕 What better way to remember them than by spending an afternoon surrounded by a whole lot of whiskers, purrs, and furry personalities?

Let’s just say… we all got our fill of Furball love! 🐾🥰 There were plenty of smiles, stories, laughter, and probably a few cats who left with new fans of their own!

Furball Farm is doing something truly special for the Faribault community by providing love, care, and a safe haven for cats in need. We’re so grateful we could spend the afternoon supporting such a wonderful local nonprofit while creating another meaningful memory with our residents.

Today was a reminder that sometimes the most meaningful moments come with four paws, a little fur, and a whole lot of love. ❤️🐱

Shake, Rattle & Scoop! 🍦🧠

Today at The Emeralds at Faribault, we gathered for a little before-lunch treat—and put our muscles and our brains to work! 😋
We made ice cream in a bag, and let’s just say… you’ve got to shake it to make it! 💪🍦

Our residents got in a good arm workout while shaking, shaking, shaking their way to something sweet. But we didn’t stop there! While our ice cream was getting its chill on, we warmed up our brains with a little trivia. 🧠🤔

By the end, we had worked our arms, exercised our minds, and earned ourselves a delicious reward. Talk about a well-rounded scoop of fun! 😂🍦

When the bingo cards come out, the smiles may be big… but the concentration is SERIOUS! 😂
Activity Director Carrie crashed Friday’s bingo game to catch a little behind-the-scenes action—and let’s just say, there was no shortage of laughter, lucky numbers, and some pretty intense bingo faces! 👀🤣
Bingo is one of our favorite ways to spend time together, cheer each other on, share a few laughs, and maybe get just a little competitive. 😉
At the end of the day, it’s not always about who gets the BINGO… it’s about the people we get to share it with. ❤️

Our Science Squad was back at it—and this time, we were literally bouncing into science!

After lunch, we decided to shake things up a bit—quite literally! We gathered together with our nursing students and got to work making our very own homemade butter. 🧈✨
Everyone got to choose a flavor to mix in, making each batch uniquely delicious. There was plenty of shaking, laughing, visiting, and maybe a little arm workout along the way! 💪🤣

Today we loaded up the bus and headed to Perkins for a little lunch adventure! We enjoyed great food, plenty of laughs, and lots of visiting with one another. And, of course, no Perkins adventure would be complete without saving room for some amazing pie! 🥧😋
Today’s adventure was even sweeter with our Social Services Director, Kristin, and Activity Assistant, Adrianna, along for the ride! ❤️

School Spirit Day was officially in session! 🎓📚
From high school pride to college colors, our halls were full of school spirit today! Even better than the apparel were the stories that came with it. Throughout the day, our residents shared memories of school days, favorite teachers, lifelong friendships, and the adventures that shaped them.

Throughout the week at the fair our Social Service Director Kristin & Therapeutic Recreation Director Carrie made sure to partake in some fun fair photo opportunities while visiting with the community about all of the amazing opportunities we have to offer.

The Emeralds at Faribault even made it into a song that the duo Steve & Steve were singing on the Sellner stage on Saturday afternoon!
