Cupping is one of the many modalities that we acupuncturists use to bring all that gunky, stagnation out to the surface. If you watch the Olympics games see these marks on one of the swimmers, they too do cupping to find some relief.
This isn't for everyone, people who are on blood thinners shouldn't do this and also the intensity can be adjusted depends on the personal preferences.
