If you're a gymnast heading into summer training, save this.

Summer is when we see the most overuse injuries walk through our door — and almost all of them are preventable.

Swipe through for the 3 mistakes we see most, and what to do instead.

If your athlete is dealing with back pain, hip pain, or just feels 'off' after a big training block, we'd love to help.

You don't have to do a thing.

No foam rolling. No trying to touch your toes. No awkward stretching on your own.

You just show up, lie down, and let our Stretch Coach James take it from there.

In 25 minutes, he'll work through your tightest muscles — hips, hamstrings, shoulders, back — so you walk out feeling like a completely different person.

This is In Motion Stretch. And right now, you can try your first session for just $19.

Most companies do happy hours… does Hyrox 💪

We spent the last few months training. Our very own Dr. Samara put together a 3 month training plan for us. As former collegiate athletes we love working towards something (and love a little competition).

All the hard work paid off. Dr. Sara crushed her back to back events (those burpees 👀). Dr. Samara bruised her knees committing to the lunges. I held up my end with the running and Dr. Sarah carried us home with 💯 wall balls.

Working together as a team. Dedicating to the process. That’s what we do at In Motion. We don’t only help our patients on the surface level, we commit.

And we get what you’re going through, because we do it too.

Now the real question is… should we do this again next year?

Softball parents — this one is worth saving. 📌

Every spring I see the same thing: a player who's been quietly managing shoulder pain for weeks, hoping it would go away before anyone noticed.

Here's what the research tells us that most people don't know 👇

The forces on a softball pitcher's shoulder are nearly equal to her full body weight — almost identical to professional baseball pitchers. And 83% of shoulder injuries in high school softball happen to position players, not pitchers.

Your outfielder. Your shortstop. Any player throwing hard, repeatedly, all season long.

The hardest part? You often can't tell she's hurting just by watching. Studies show pitchers with shoulder pain maintain the same mechanics as healthy ones.

The only way you find out is if she tells you. So create the space for that conversation.

And if her shoulder has been nagging — don't wait. Most athletes are back within three weeks when they get the right care early.

💾 Save this and send it to your team's group chat.

I hear this constantly. And I understand why people believe it — underhand feels more natural, less violent.

But the research doesn't back it up. The forces on a softball pitcher's shoulder during the windmill motion are nearly equal to her full body weight — almost identical to what professional baseball pitchers experience.

100 pitches at practice. Multiple practices a week. A full season.

That adds up. And when it does, it shows up in my clinic.

Our May Patient of the Month is proof that setbacks do not have to stop the comeback. 🩵
After battling hamstring pain and navigating challenges along the way, including a foot fracture, his goal never changed: he wanted to get back to running.
Through dedicated one-on-one PT sessions, personalized strength and conditioning, and a commitment to doing the work, he continued to move forward one step at a time.
And this month, all that hard work paid off when he completed a half marathon in 2 hours 4 minutes! 🏃‍♂️
We are so proud of his perseverance, his progress, and the positive energy he brings into our office every Wednesday night.
As former collegiate athletes, we understand how much it means to return to the sport you love. His journey is a reminder that with the right support and consistent effort, recovery can lead to incredible milestones.
Congratulations — we cannot wait to cheer you on toward the next goal!

Most golfers walk straight from the parking lot to the first tee.

Eight holes in, their back is done.

This is not bad luck — it's a cold spine being asked to generate rotational force it was never prepped for.

Five drills. Eight minutes. Do them before every round 👆

💾 Save this for your next tee time.
