We had the pleasure of welcoming Debra from the Audubon Society for a wonderful presentation on backyard birds! 🐦🌿

She shared fascinating facts, bird identification tips, and simple ways to create a bird-friendly backyard. Thank you, Debra, for such an engaging and informative program. We appreciate you sharing your knowledge and helping us see our feathered neighbors in a whole new way!

As one of our signature programs, this month's Grab Your Passport adventure took us to Greece! 🇬🇷

A special thank you to our wonderful volunteer, Marsha, whose family is native to Greece, for sharing her heritage with us. She taught us about the history of spanakopita, shared memories of making it alongside her mom growing up, and demonstrated the traditional way it's prepared.

And the best part? We all got to enjoy the delicious homemade spanakopita—and wow, was it amazing! Thank you, Marsha, for bringing a little taste of Greece and your family traditions to us. ❤️

Congratulations to Farmington Station’s Associate of the Quarter, Kimberli P.

Kim has been with our team for nearly a year and was hired to lead our Bistro,
the newest addition to our dining program. The Bistro was created to promote healthier dining options while also providing a welcoming space for residents, especially those who may self-isolate. Since joining our team, Kim has made a meaningful impact far beyond her daily responsibilities. She has built genuine relationships with our residents through kindness, patience, and compassionate conversation. Residents who are typically quiet or reserved have opened up to her, sharing stories about their lives
and families because they feel comfortable, valued, and truly heard. Kim's ability to connect with others has helped create a warm, inclusive environment where residents feel supported and cared for. Her dedication to both the Bistro and the well-being of our residents exemplifies
the type of compassionate service that makes a lasting difference in our
community. Kim is an invaluable member of our team, and we are grateful for the positive impact she continues to make every day.
