This past weekend was a pivotal point in my walk with God. For so long I did it on my own and relied on my abilities. Not realizing that anything good that flows from me is Jesus and not self. This world teaches you to achieve career success and titles. At the end of the day none of it matters. I can’t take any of those things to heaven. My whole purpose in life is to glorify God in everything I do. I’ve prayed for beautiful women of faith and God has answered this prayer. I love the Lord deeply to not think of Him daily and boldly practice my faith in everything I do. I’m incredibly grateful for everything and the people that continue to support me. These pictures truly resemble the joy and faith in Jesus. Our calling is to bring healing to each and every client that walks in our ministry.

Loving Kindness is a beautiful DBT skill that resembles how God looks at us with kindness, love, and compassion, and we can strive to do the same for ourselves.

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” We can apply that same principle to ourselves, treating ourselves with the same kindness and compassion that God shows us.

Here’s a Loving Kindness prayer for you: “Lord, help me to be more kind and loving to myself, to show myself the same grace and compassion that you show me. Help me to be gentle with myself, to forgive myself, and to remember that I am loved and valued just as I am.”

In Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), there are four options for dealing with any problem: 🔹1. Solve the problem, 🔹2. Change your perception of the problem, 🔹3. Accept the problem, and 🔹4. Stay miserable.

The first three options are considered effective ways to handle a situation, while the fourth is a choice to remain in distress and perpetuate negative feelings.
Here’s a closer look at each option:

1. Solve the Problem:
This involves taking action to change the situation itself. It might include defining the problem, evaluating its causes, brainstorming possible solutions, and then trying those ideas.

2. Change Your Perception of the Problem:
When you can’t change the external situation, you can work to change your emotional reaction to it. This involves reframing negative thoughts, challenging irrational beliefs, and developing mindfulness to cultivate acceptance and resilience.

3. Accept the Problem:
This option focuses on accepting the reality of a situation, even if it’s unpleasant. It’s about acknowledging and embracing what has happened without resisting it, creating space to move forward more effectively.

4. Stay Miserable:
This involves choosing to dwell on the problem, engage in constant rumination, or play the victim. While it may be a temporary response, it’s a way people cope by prolonging their distress rather than making changes.
