This week is so big! And in a powerfully optimistic way for once.
The Basket is serving both as a divine, handheld support for us right now, and it’s also a node where roots are emerging… what is it you are ready to grow?
The Camino has been opened and is cleansed as we step into very agreeable Mercury conditions.
Full speed ahead, under the radiance of a Jupiter Cazimi!
Jupiter is in the sign of the Sun, traveling together with it all this week; and from here we plant the most significant seeds of our hearts.
But the biggest event of the week is (drumroll please!) the CHANGING OF THE NODES!
Will Virgo + Pisces please come on stage and take a bow? Excellent work by both North and South over the last eighteen months, and they won’t be back in this arrangement for almost another twenty years. We will revisit them as Pluto begins to travel through Pisces (my god what will that be like!👀)
For now, we thank Jupiter ruled Pisces for reinstilling our hearts with hope, and faith and magic… that in spite of it all… Good + God wins.
And deep-bow to Mercury ruled Virgo for its productive and restorative time in ‘the pit’…allowing the over controlling, micromanaging, not trusting God to meet you halfway….parts of self to be dry docked and to get a rest.
Now Virgo is in fine form and ready to get back in the ring with all tools extra sharp, well-oiled, and clean.
Virgo is the archetype that is quietly holding the world together, without wanting much credit for it.
This is a very important sign and just as its ruler emerges from an emotional “spin cycle” rx in Cancer, both sign and ruler are in good shape.
Saturn has just made its first station rx since it’s full ingress into Aries and now we will begin our summertime retrograde cycle that will take us back to 7 degrees in mid December.
So prepare to downshift the responsibility discipline alignment lessons now and review what you’ve learned and established since the kickoff of the firehorse year which is when it entered Aries for good.
The New set of Nodes are: North Node in Aquarius, South Node in Leo.
There will be much to say about these over the next eighteen months (especially in the August eclipses around the bend), but for now I shall give you the nutshell;
The South Node is always a purge/release/integration point where the excess of the archetype that has accumulated over the last 18 years will now be cleansed.
So the South Node has arrived in Leo to cure the fact that we are in a time where pride and ego have become pathologically dominant.
We are suffering from a collective blindness, a loss of perspective, a decidedly narcissistic age.
The North Node always shows the evolutionary direction of our collective soul compass.
For the next 18 months the North Node will be moving through Aquarius (towards Pluto), and the lesson is to open your mind, to see what is truly important. Aquarius is very sensitive to high quality, and knows what’s going on, Leo is overdramatized, so Aquarius is helping Leo improve/upgrade, to look in the mirror and see what is going on.
Leo can overdo it; Aquarius is helping Leo refine.
This is the baseline archetype of these Nodes, in this pattern, but this will be a Leo Aqua Nodal transit for the ages as both sides are formidably augmented by Jupiter and Pluto!
Jupe in Leo is our true birthright, not the hollow shallow toxic extractive “royalty” of Hollywood as it stands now.
There are exceptions to be made, but as a whole, the way it’s been run for the last 30 years and beyond is being exposed as deeply corrupt and consumptive of innocence.
But beyond the hierarchical definition of royalty, we find the image of the winged heart that is found meaningfully in Christianity, Sufism, and Mexican Folk art, a holy trifecta if ever there was one.
It shows the human spirit, facing the darkness with a full lit heart and a desire to create and to do good things, To have and raise kids, to play, to make art, to celebrate life.
This is the symbol for Jupiter in Leo.
Starting at the end of the sign, the South Node begins to extract the old, tarnished, and corrupt parts of Leo, even as Jupiter in Leo is bringing in fresh healthy spiritually aligned gilding, from the start of the sign.
Wherever you have the Leo Aquarius axis in your chart has begun quite the process of regeneration.
