NHC Cookeville Care is our business We have built our reputation on ethical, quality rehabilitative care with proven patient satisfaction and positive outcomes.

We have a flexible, interdisciplinary approach to health care, centered around caregiver compassion delivered in a comfortable setting. We serve the needs of our patients through a full spectrum of services. We provide multiple levels of care, including rehabilitation, skilled nursing, long term care, as well as hospice. We specialize in providing rehabilitation to patients over the age of 65. We

believe these patients have better outcomes with less intensive therapy that is provided one on one. Our rehabilitation patients typically stay about three weeks and function better at home than those patients that receive only home health or short term intensive rehabilitation.

We would like to congratulate Rita Durbin on her retirement with NHC Cookeville!

To know Rita, is to know someone that is truly special. She has dedicated 40 years to NHC Cookeville. In that span of time she has taught so many CNAs, nurses, families, residents, partners, and everyone in between what it means to put your heart in all that you do. She is a shining example of that promise and the legacy she leaves behind!

We are so happy for her to get the much needed rest, time with her beautiful family, and everything else her heart desires in this next chapter of her life! She will be missed greatly but she knows the doors are always open for a visit and kind word! Congratulations, Rita!!! Enjoy this next adventure! 🎉❤️🥳

We would like to spotlight Cassey Parris this week, as we are excited to announce that she is the Director of Nursing at NHC Cookeville! 🎉🥳🎉

Cassey has worked at NHC Cookeville for 17 years. In that time, she was a LPN on the floor, and returned to school and recieved her RN, and became Assistant Director of Nursing, and has now become our DON! She enjoys working in a long term care setting because she feels it is rewarding to be able to help our residents feel better when they are sick, get to know who they are, their stories, and make a difference in their lives.

Hobbies?

Ryan has worked with NHC for 9 years. He was previously the administrator at NHC Smithville. He enjoys working in a long term care setting because he feels it is rewarding to be able to help people and make a difference.
