💙 When people hear "PTSD," they often think of Veterans—but PTSD can affect anyone.
PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) is a mental health condition that can develop after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event.
Trauma can include:
• Military combat
• Childhood abuse or neglect
• Domestic violence
• Sexual assault
• Serious accidents
• Medical trauma
• Natural disasters
• The sudden loss of a loved one
PTSD is not a sign of weakness, and it's not something people can simply "get over."
Some common symptoms include:
🧠 Intrusive memories or nightmares
😴 Trouble sleeping
⚠️ Feeling constantly on edge
🚪 Avoiding people, places, or situations that remind you of the trauma
💭 Difficulty concentrating
😔 Changes in mood or feeling emotionally numb
The good news? Healing is possible.
At MMF, we provide peer support, recovery coaching, case management, and referrals to help individuals begin their healing journey.
You don't have to carry trauma alone.
