There’s always something exciting about watching students take what they’ve been learning in the classroom and begin putting those skills into practice with real clients. It’s such a rewarding part of being an educator and clinical supervisor—seeing their confidence grow as they learn, connect, and provide meaningful services to others.

Our undergraduate and graduate CSDI students recently had the opportunity to participate in preschool screenings with Fayetteville Public Schools. We are grateful for this partnership, which allowed our students to gain valuable hands-on experience while giving back to the community.

Thank you to Fayetteville Public Schools for investing in our future speech-language pathologists and for helping us provide meaningful learning opportunities that benefit children and families. Experiences like these strengthen clinical skills, build confidence, and reinforce the importance of serving our community.

It was a great day of collaboration and service! ❤️

Graduate students from the University of Arkansas Speech-Language Pathology Program partnered with Fayetteville Public Schools to screen future pre-K students. These screenings help teachers better understand and support their incoming students as they prepare for the school year ahead.

Students in Dr. Woods’s graduate class on school policies put their learning into action by collaborating with community partners and supporting local families during this important transition to school.

Thank you to Fayetteville Public Schools for partnering with us to make a positive impact on children and families in our community!
