Our team explaining to clients why we can’t skip the hard feelings: 😂

But honestly? It’s true. Avoidance might feel like relief for five minutes, but the only way emotions actually resolve is by sitting with them, not detouring around them. So next time you catch yourself trying to skip the hard part, just remember: we’re going on a feelings hunt.

We’re not scared. 🚫

Do you feel confident knowing exactly what to do in your very first EFT session with a couple?👫

You can go through externship, learn core skills, even turn in your certification tape... and still never really learn what assessment is supposed to look like. What to ask. What to listen for. How to lay the foundation so the couple knows what to expect, what your interruptions are for, what enactments are doing.

That’s exactly what Module 14 on the SV training platform walks you through. A full framework for that first session, plus a guide for the questions to ask and the goals to set. And it doesn’t stop there, we also cover the attachment history you’ll build in sessions two and three.

If you’ve been doing EFT for years and still think “no one ever really told me what to do in session one,” this one’s for you.

What helps you not leave your partner alone in pain?

Ryan Rana shares his personal expertise. 📚

It comes down to two things: getting clear on where your own heart really is (the vulnerable, honest signal), and being willing to show up when your partner does the same.

That’s not easy. Years together bring real pressure, real pain, real grind. Love is fun and light sometimes, but not always. There’s work to do when it doesn’t feel good. 🛑

What gets you through those stretches? Being part of something bigger than yourself. For some it’s faith. For some it’s family, or a commitment to their kids, or a shared mission.

Whatever that “something greater” is for you, it’s what keeps you showing up on the hard days. 🤍

What’s yours? Tell us below👇

After 25 years working with couples, Ryan Rana says it comes down to one thing: repair.

Couples who can repair are bulletproof. They can survive almost anything. Couples who can’t? They can do a lot right and still fall further behind.

So don’t leave your partner alone in pain. Ever.

It’s hard. When you don’t feel seen or heard, it’s tough to set aside your own pain to show up for theirs. But if you don’t, they come back next time a little more guarded, and protection spreads fast. ⚡️

You don’t need the perfect words. Sometimes it’s just: “I don’t know what to say right now, but I’ve got you. We’ll fight through this together.”

Show up. Every time. ☑️

What are your thoughts. Tell us below.👇

What the heck is a Focus Lab? 👀

It’s not a lecture. It’s a lab. At SV, you get to try things on for yourself and see how they land, in real time, with real feedback.

What do you do when you can’t validate an escalated pursuer? Let’s try it. What happens when a blocked caregiving system stalls your enactment? Let’s role play it until you know how to get both clients back online.

We believe more is caught than taught. So we’re stocking the pond with the nuggets you’ll actually use in your next session, ones your body remembers, not just your notes.

Every cast, you reel in something real: more confidence, more clarity, more options in the room. 🎣

📍 October 1-3. Join us in person in
Fayetteville, AR, or online, just as interactive either way.

How do you know when to slow down in session? When pain shows up. 👇

Our instinct, and our clients’, is usually to rush past it or avoid it altogether. But that’s exactly the moment to slow down, whether you sense it yourself as the therapist or you see it in your client’s face.⚠️

Next time you feel that pull to speed up or move away from the pain in the room, take it as your cue instead: slow down, go half speed, and get clear on what’s actually happening. Sit with the pain long enough for it to respond.
