Smoking or chewing to***co during pregnancy puts both you and your baby at risk for several health issues with lasting effects.

Not only does it double your risk for abnormal bleeding, it can also cause slow fetal growth and increase the risk for birth defects or preterm delivery.

Quitting can be hard, which is why it is important to talk to your doctor for help. To learn more about the effects of to***co use in pregnancy, visit bit.ly/3ug06Me.

If you're managing gestational diabetes, choosing the right snacks is crucial for maintaining stable blood sugar levels. One great option to consider is pecans!
Pecans are not only delicious but packed with healthy fats, fiber, and protein, all of which can help slow down the absorption of sugar and prevent spikes in blood glucose.
Don’t forget though, while pecans can make a great snack, they are also high in calories, so make sure to eat them in moderation!

Today is World Day for Safety and Health at Work!

It's important to prioritize safety, both at work and at home, to ensure a healthy pregnancy. If you're expecting, here are some essential work safety tips to follow:

1. Don’t sit for long periods of time. Stand, move, and stretch often.
2. Lift Carefully (or Not at All)
3. Don’t Overdo it! Take breaks and rest.
4. Avoid harmful environments. Chemicals, extreme temperatures, etc.

Remember: It's important to communicate openly with your employer and healthcare provider to create a safe and healthy work environment during pregnancy. Your health and safety, along with that of your baby, should always come first.

Stay safe and take care of yourself and your growing little one! 👶
