Speaker Information: Lisette Yang a bilingual advocate, educator, and leader with more than two decades of experience serving immigrant communities, crime victims, and children across Arkansas. After moving to Little Rock in 1997, she became deeply involved in civic and community organizations and began providing Spanish interpretation, cultural trainings, and advocacy services. In 2005, she became Arkansas’s first Latino Victim Advocate, serving more than 2,500 Latino and international crime victims. She later joined the Children’s Protection Center as its first bilingual Child Forensic Interviewer and went on to conduct more than 7,000 forensic interviews while mentoring professionals and supporting multidisciplinary investigations. Lisette is a certified ChildFirst forensic interviewer, law enforcement instructor, and expert witness, and has provided extensive training on child abuse, domestic violence, human trafficking, Latino culture, and serving immigrant victims. Since 2023, she has served as the first bilingual Administrator of the Arkansas Crime Victims Reparations Board. Her career reflects a lifelong commitment to advocacy, education, cultural competency, and strengthening services for Arkansas’s most vulnerable communities
