Does Auria's tear sample collection hurt? This is one of the questions we get asked the most.
While individual experiences with at-home collection may vary, more than 400 surveyed individuals reported an average pain score of only 1.4 out of 10, with 0 representing no pain or discomfort and 10 representing intense pain or discomfort.
Auria’s sample collection relies on the eye’s natural moisture and is often described as feeling like an eyelash in the eye. In most cases, any slight irritation fades once the strip becomes wet.
