Cape Fear Valley Medical Center is proud to announce the continued growth of our robotic surgery program, now expanded to include two da Vinci surgical systems.

This expansion represents an important milestone for our surgical program and reflects our continued investment in advanced surgical care. Dr. Ravinder Annamaneni, Chief of Surgery, shared his enthusiasm for the program's growth, noting that “it marks a significant step forward for our surgical services at Cape Fear Valley with two robotic surgical systems.” We are expanding capacity and increasing patient access to advanced minimally invasive surgical options across a growing range of specialties.

SEPtember is SEPSIS Awareness Month

SEPSIS is a life-threatening response to infection that can affect anyone - infants, children, pregnant and postpartum patients, adults, and older adults. Early recognition and timely treatment can save lives. This month, Cape Fear Valley Health is joining communities across the nation in raising awareness of the signs of sepsis.

Remember: It’s About TIME™ - Temperature, Infection, Mental Decline, and Extremely Ill. If you or someone you know is experiencing concerning symptoms with an infection, seek medical care and ask, “Could it be SEPSIS?”

Together, through awareness, early recognition, and action, we can make a difference. ❤️

❤️ A second chance at life.

In 2015, Almeta Taylor thought she was dealing with an upset stomach. She was actually experiencing the warning signs of a massive heart attack.

Chest pressure. Nausea. Shortness of breath.

After lifesaving triple-bypass surgery at Cape Fear Valley, Almeta made it her mission to share her story and encourage others—especially women—to recognize the signs of a heart attack.

“If sharing my heart journey helps at least one person, my going through it was not in vain.” ❤️
