Today at the East Regional Library Branch, we learned all about how rainbows are made and then brought that lesson to life by creating our very own rainbow windsocks! From discovering how sunlight and water work together to create beautiful colors in the sky to putting our creativity to work, it was a colorful day of hands-on learning and fun! 🌈

At Kaleo Supports, volunteering gives our individuals a sense of purpose while showing them the impact of giving back. From seeing donations come in, to watching them transition into resources that help families throughout our community and surrounding areas, they get to experience firsthand how their hard work makes a difference! 🛢️📦❤️

Sunny Artis was born and raised in Fayetteville, NC. After proudly serving in the U.S. Navy for nearly 10 years, she transitioned out of military service in 2023. She recently joined Kaleo Supports, Inc. as the new Administrative Assistant, where she is excited to support the team and contribute to the organization's mission.

Outside of work, Sunny is a devoted mother who enjoys spending quality time with her children, especially working on cars together. She also enjoys staying active at the gym, roller skating and collecting vinyl records.

🎉🎂Nothing brings people together like cake and a celebration! Today our individuals put their baking skills to work by making TWO delicious birthday cakes for our July birthdays. From measuring to mixing and decorating, every step was filled with teamwork!

Today at the Bordeaux Library Branch we celebrated 250 years of American history by learning about the art of printmaking and the importance of freedom of the press. Individuals explored creative printing techniques while discovering how printed works have shaped our nation's history - from the Federalist Papers to today's modern magazines. A fun, hand-on experience that combined creativity, history, and learning. 📜📰📕

Today was filled with meaningful experiences - from giving back through volunteering at Second Harvest Food Bank of Southeast North Carolina, to grocery shopping and making smart choices, to working together to bake a delicious cake FROM SCRATCH! Every activity helped build confidence, independence, teamwork, and everyday living skills!

Life skills in action! 🥗🛒Today we put everyday skills into practice by grocery shopping for fresh ingredients and creating a healthy meal! After we ate our salads for lunch, we kept active by doing chair exercises and ended our day with a festive and FUN way to paint!
