🌟Employee Donor Spotlight: Peggy Michele Robinson, DO, FACP, Medical Director of the Hospitalist at Harnett Health 🌟

How long have you been with the health system?
I have been with the health system since July of 2016 and have been an attending physician for the last 5.5 years.

Why did you become an employee donor?
I can remember as a resident all the nice things that the Foundation did for our program and hospital. The Foundation sponsored multiple events for the residency and I can remember the brand new curtains that the ED received.

What inspires you to give?
I want to continue to see the hospital grow and develop. In order for that to continue we must invest in our staff and system, and the Foundation helps where others are unable to fill that need. Recently, the Foundation sponsored the Betsy Johnson Hospital ICU nursing team to obtain the recognition they deserve with the BEACON Award (Silver).

How do you see acts of kindness displayed at Cape Fear Valley Health?
I see the amazing things that all the staff at Betsy Johnson Hospital and Central Harnett Hospital do everyday to ensure our patients have the best possible experience they can while in the hospital. I see it in the kind words spoken to the exceptional care provided to every patient. The act that sticks out to me the most is the compassion towards families and patients at the end of life. Nurses and physicians both go out of their way to ensure that the patient’s comfort is paramount and that we fully support the family in this difficult time. These are just a few ways I see kindness displayed at Cape Fear Valley.

Thank you, Dr. Robinson, for your leadership, support and passion to care for patients in our community. We are grateful for you! 💙💚
