Vaccines aren't just for kids. They save lives, protect our immunocompromised neighbors and loved ones, and keep diseases we've worked hard to eliminate from coming back.

Knowing your risk factors for ovarian cancer can help you have better conversations with your provider.

A few things that can raise your risk:
• Older age: most cases are found in women 63 and older, usually after menopause
• Inherited gene mutations like BRCA1, BRCA2, or Lynch syndrome
• Endometriosis, which is linked to a higher risk of certain ovarian cancer types
• Radiation exposure to the pelvis

Having a risk factor doesn't mean you'll develop ovarian cancer, but it's worth knowing your history. Talk to your provider about what course of action or screenings they recommend for you based on your risk factors.
