Shorter Wait Times. Better Access. More Local Doctors and Nurses.

At yesterday's Greater Fayetteville Chamber State of the Community event, regional leaders shared exciting updates on how Cumberland County is growing and it’s great news for local Veterans! 🇺🇸
Here is how local investments directly help our Veteran community:
✅ More Local Doctors & Nurses: Fayetteville State University is doubling its nursing program, and Methodist University new medical school is training future doctors right here in our backyard to expand our care team and shortening appointment wait times.
✅ Faster Emergency Response: City and county emergency teams are merging dispatch services into a single 911 system, ensuring faster help during a medical crisis.
✅ Jobs for Transitioning Troops: New defense technology companies coming to Fayetteville give departing Fort Bragg service members great local career opportunities so they can stay rooted in Cumberland County, NC Government
We’re proud to serve the men and women who served us.

The Fayetteville NC VA Employee Association (VA-EA) is proud to support local education through a community outreach initiative benefiting Mr. Maxwell Lang, a seventh-grade Social Studies teacher at Luther Nick Jeralds Middle School.

The Fayetteville VA Employee Association fulfilled Mr. Lang’s classroom “wish list” for the upcoming school year today, providing much needed supplies that will assist him in creating a positive learning environment and helping his students have a successful school year. Mr. Dwight Fields, Associate Director of Operations for the Fayetteville NC VA Coastal Health Care System, presented Mr. Lang with the much-needed supplies on behalf of Ms. Marri Fryar, Executive Director.

This initiative represents just one of the ways the Fayetteville VA Employee Association is giving back and becoming more involved in the community it serves. The Employee Association continues to seek meaningful opportunities to make a positive impact beyond the walls of the Fayetteville VA.

By supporting educators like Mr. Lang, the Fayetteville VA Employee Association is also investing in the students who represent the future of our community. Supporting our educators. Investing in our students. Serving our community.
