As part of our partnership with Advantage Academy, Dr. Ben is working directly with athletes on strength, conditioning, injury prevention, and performance development. ⚽️💪

In this video, Dr. Ben breaks down an important difference for athletes: muscular endurance vs. muscular strength.

Running, conditioning, and repeated sprints can help improve endurance and your ability to keep performing over time.

Strength training helps your body produce and control force — something that matters every time an athlete runs, cuts, jumps, lands, or changes direction.

That’s a big part of what Dr. Ben is helping Advantage athletes work on: not just building the conditioning to keep going, but also the strength to better handle the demands of sport.

Build the endurance to keep going. Build the strength to handle the game.

Congrats to Drs. Ben Shearer and Ryan Clark on completing our inaugural Rise Leadership Development Track cohort!

Leadership isn’t a title. It’s a commitment to continual growth, learning, and serving others.

Over the past six months, Ben and Ryan intentionally invested in becoming stronger leaders by discovering their leadership styles, growing personally and professionally, and gaining hands-on experience across every area of our organization. Each participant was also paired with a senior mentor who provided guidance, perspective, and encouragement throughout the journey.

At Rise, we believe investing in our leaders matters. That’s why we created an in-house Leadership Development Track designed to help our team maximize their potential, expand their impact, and lead with purpose. Whether someone is preparing for a formal leadership role or choosing to lead from where they are, we’re committed to creating opportunities for every team member to grow.

Congratulations again, Ben and Ryan. Thank you for embracing the challenge to grow, lead, and make those around you better. The future is bright because of leaders like you!

Over the weekend, our staff had the opportunity to partner with Orangetheory Fayetteville for a workshop focused on safely returning to exercise postpartum.
The workshop gave Orangetheory instructors practical education and guidance on how to better support clients during the postpartum return-to-fitness process.
We’re grateful for the chance to connect, educate, and collaborate with a team that cares about helping people move well and feel confident in their bodies.
Thank you, Orangetheory Fayetteville, for having us!

Thank you to everyone who came to our Running Injury Prevention workshop in collaboration with ! We had a great time talking about all things running while it rained outside.

At least 50% of regular runners get injured each year, but most running injuries are preventable!

Proper footwear, a good training protocol, and strength and mobility in the feet, ankles, knee, and hips are all key ingredients to running injury prevention.

Feel free to leave any questions about running injuries in the comments! 👟

Keep an eye out for the next running workshop soon 👀

Thank you to Clubhaus Fitness at Mount Sequoyah for letting us use their beautiful space for our workshop!
