Dasher missed items, I got charged for it and app support will only refund a fraction.

I ordered 85$ worth grocery, 60 with discount. Only 1 item arrived and they refuse to refund more than 23.5$ even after refunding. I have cancelled my dashpass, what else can I do at this point?

I just want to let everyone know, this is an effort but its not unreachable. Now let me clarify that my area is always busy, though not always exactly profitable. I have to keep Platinum so as dash only when the money is coming in. Yes I sometimes, though not often have to take a lowball offer, but I dont multi app, and when I am clocked in, I am at work. Dashing is my occupation, not a hassle. And I've stayed at this level for several months consistently, or I wouldn't have been willing to show anyone.

Just started doordashing two weeks ago and all of my stats are maxed out except my AR… that unfortunately will probably not be going up bc I know my worth. However I’ve seen dashers with a lower AR than me and lower additional percentages and they’re platinum… is it just bc of the amount of deliveries I’ve done??

Drivers, when you send thank yous in advance for tips, is it genuine or a passive aggressive reminder that your income is based off tips?

I doordashed on and off at certain points in my life when I was broke and used to rage HARD when people didn’t tip. Like, i would find a way into their bag and eat their fries without breaking the tamper seal.

A lot of people who use DoorDash don’t realize how decadent the concept of paying someone a premium to chauffeur your fast food to you by hand is. It’s frankly a ridiculous and absurd concept. Imagine telling someone 50 years ago that in the future, debt will be at an all time high, yet people will voluntarily choose to pay a 30% premium just to have some dude deliver it (who can barely break even anyways given the price of gas). Like, the entire concept of it sounds like something out of Idiocracy.

If you can’t afford to tip, you shouldn’t be ordering off doordash. Simple as that.

So like my routine for ordering door dash is that i always select leave at my door, because I have a 250 lb dog that does NOT like men. And its easier to keep him in the house if they dont make me open the doorm I always put half the tip in and add the rest after delivery ( because I til 15$ and there has just been too many times where my order wasnt delivered and they dont refund the tip so then I have to pay the tip a second time) and I always put in the notes that they can leave it by the gate because I have a little table there just for doordash to put the food on and that way I dont have to open my gate. To let them in.

Usually if im ordering door dash im doing a task that requires my full attention and the kids need food.

ive gotten this guy a few times and he always does this... he always says the order is taking a while... and he always follows up with a " your welcome" when I dont respond immediately. And he always waits outside for me to come get the order. And I dont like it. My dog doesnt bite but im trying to be considerate and not have a 250 lb bastian of intimidation barking at the people who deliver my food.

Am i doing something to p**s this guy off or is he just a rude person? Edit: ok, so yall have been arguing about the size of my dog for most of the post. I found the vet paperwork from me getting him neutered and it had his weight on there. It said 215 not 250. I apologize if must be going deaf or something.

Alr, you’ll see the screen shot, she was apologizing bc her front light was broken, and then invited me to hang out.

Upon seeing this, my mind immediately assumed that somebody was trying to set me up to get robbed when I came inside the house, so I trusted my gut feeling and left.

What do you guys think, am I an idiot? Did I just pass on an easy excuse to get laid? She must’ve saw my profile picture and thought I was cute or something lol. I have no idea if I’m smart or an idiot, but all I know is this day will surely play back in my mind for a while.

75% of the time I get dashers who put the delivery in front of the door rather than to the side. I’d feel like this is common sense. Am I to open the door and just knock my drink over and squish the food?

Being fully transparent because I’m sure I’ll be flamed with did you tip them? Yes 27% the subtotal. I just feel like there is an absolute lack of awareness amongst the drivers I’ve been getting.

DoorDash is taking forever to refund me my money.

I ordered this on July 28th. The driver delivered my order somewhere and didn’t even ask for the code. I’m out $74.08 because of these incompetent drivers. I called the customer service because I can’t request the refund through the app. They keep saying that they have to go through escalation team and I’ll get an update within 24 hours. I’m on the phone again. I don’t want to go off on the front line cs, but this is getting out of hand.
