Linda Lou Tury and Her Beloved Dog "Molly"
Linda Lou Tury, age 77 of Fayetteville, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026, in Beckley, West Virginia. She was born on June 12, 1948, in Fayetteville, WV.
Linda lived a life filled with love, faith, and devotion. She was a dedicated follower of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and a faithful member of the Evangel Baptist Church in Beckwith, WV. Her life was a testament to kindness, service, and deep compassion for those around her.
Before retirement, Linda worked as a cleaning professional for RE Investments LLC in Fayetteville. Earlier, she served as a secretary at the Fayette County Courthouse, where she was known for her diligence and friendly spirit.
Linda was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She deeply cherished her grandson, Paul "Xavier" Tury, who brought immense joy to her life. She was also devoted to her loyal German Shepherd, Molly, who was her daily companion and protector.
She is reunited in Heaven with her loving husband, William "Bill" Tury Jr.; her brother, Roy Lee Day; her father, John Day; and her mother, Ouida Day.
Linda leaves behind her son, Paul Michael Tury; her grandson, Paul "Xavier" Tury; her sister, Phyllis J. Treadway; and several nephews and their families, all of whom she loved dearly.Linda also wished to express her heartfelt gratitude for her wonderful neighbors and friends, whom she considered among the best in the world. Their kindness and companionship meant so much to her throughout her life.
A service celebrating Linda's life will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel at Huse Memorial Park in Fayetteville, WV. Pastors Carlos Hodge and John Parrish will officiate. Entombment will follow immediately after the service.
In lieu of flowers, Linda wanted donations to be made to the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley (www.hospiceofsouthernwv.org), or Veterans of Foreign Wars (www.vfw.org).
Linda will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her loving heart, and the warmth she brought into the lives of all who knew her.
