The flu can be dangerous for anyone, but its symptoms are often more severe for older adults. One of the easiest and most effective ways to prevent the spread of germs is by washing your hands properly. When washing your hands this flu season, the CDC recommends scrubbing your palms, between your fingers, and under your nails for at least 20 seconds, then rinsing with running water and drying your hands with a clean towel or air dryer.
