Southwest Tech will be offering a Famancha Certification course at our 2024 Goat Management Academy on November 1st.
Famancha training utilizes an eyelid scoring system to help small ruminant producers (goat producers) manage parasites. This 2 hour training will be Friday morning and will include practice on live goats! Our instructor is Kim Kester.
Kim Kester is the UW-Madison Extension Regional Livestock Educator for Grant, Green, Iowa, and Lafayette Counties. Her programs focus on beef cattle genetic development, livestock climate resilience, and small ruminant management.
