Plant-based doesn't have to mean protein-poor 🌱💪
Protein helps support muscle maintenance, recovery, fullness, and many essential functions throughout the body. The key is being intention and including a protein source at each meal instead of trying to "catch up" at dinner.
Start with a protein anchor like tofu, tempeh, lentils, beans, edamame, seitan, or a plant based protein powder. Then add boosters such as pumpkin seeds, h**p seeds, nuts, nut butters, quinoa, or oats.
A few simple ways to reach your goal:
✨Add tofu or beans to salads and bowls
✨Blend protein powder or soy milk into smoothies
✨Snack on edamame or roasted chickpeas
✨Sprinkle seeds onto oatmeal, plant based yogurt, or veggies
✨Spread protein throughout the day
Your ideal amount of protein per day depends on your body size, activity level, age, health, and goals. So think of these as reference ranges more than firm rules.
