April is Autism Acceptance Month a reminder that support goes beyond awareness.

Acceptance looks like listening, learning, and creating environments where neurodiverse individuals feel safe, respected, and included.

It allows people to feel human seen for who they are, not defined by what they live with.

At Honey, we support families navigating neurodiversity through therapy and group support that hold both the beauty and complexity of this journey.

This doesn’t end with one month.
Kindness, understanding, and inclusion matter every day. ❤️

Meet our Clinical Director, Miriam Shumulinsky, MA, LPC ✨

With over a decade of experience, Miriam leads the clinical heart of Honey Mental Health. As both a clinician and Licensed Supervisor, she shapes the way we think about therapy, guides our team in their growth, and ensures that the care we provide is grounded, ethical, and deeply human.

Miriam doesn’t just support clinicians, she develops them. She works closely with both emerging and experienced therapists to strengthen their clinical voice, deepen their presence in the room, and raise the standard of care across our entire practice.

Her own clinical work is rooted in depth and nuance. She has extensive experience supporting individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, suicidality, and relationship challenges. Using Internal Family Systems (IFS) and mindfulness-based approaches, she helps clients understand themselves more clearly, move through pain with greater capacity, and build lives that feel meaningful and aligned.

Miriam is especially attuned to those who feel stuck but know something more is possible. Her presence is warm, honest, and steady, creating space for both truth and transformation.

At Honey, her leadership shapes not just how we work, but how we care.

Mental health has become the leading global health concern and the data reflects what many individuals and families are already experiencing.

Younger generations, particularly adolescents and young adults, are reporting higher levels of stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm than ever before. This underscores a critical need for early, accessible support.

At Honey, we offer sessions for individuals 14 and up because intervention during adolescence can change the trajectory of a person’s mental and emotional health. When support is introduced early, it not only addresses current challenges it helps build the tools needed for lifelong well-being.

Mental health support is not a last resort.
It is a foundational part of overall health.

you’re not supposed to do this alone, honey.

This Black Maternal Health Week let us uplift Black maternal voices, advocate for more equitable care, and move toward a future where every mother is supported and able to thrive.

Black women are 3–4 times more likely to experience pregnancy-related deaths than white women and nearly 80% of these deaths are preventable.

When we prioritize Black maternal health, we help save lives and strengthen communities.

At Honey, we are committed to providing culturally competent care, advocacy, and meaningful support for Black mothers.
