Today, we lay you down one final time as we say our last goodbye.

We will never be able to fully describe or recapture the moments we shared with you, but we will carry them with us always. The memories, laughter, lessons, and love that filled our days with you are gifts we will treasure forever.

Kitty, you and your family brought so much love, laughter, and strong family values into our home. You became more than someone we cared for—you became part of our family. We will forever be touched by your presence and grateful for the time we were blessed to spend with you.

To your family, thank you for sharing her with us. Thank you for trusting us, allowing us to be part of your journey, and giving us the privilege of walking alongside you through this chapter of life. We will forever be grateful for the memories we created together.

While we will miss Kitty dearly, we will also miss the love, warmth, and joy that your family brought into our home. You became part of our family, and your presence made our house a better place.

Thank you for the honor of being part of your story.

There is never a dull moment around here!

Some of the best moments aren't the ones we plan, they're the unexpected bursts of laughter, the impromptu outings, the hilarious conversations, and the memories made in the ordinary moments of the day.

These are the moments we treasure. These are the moments that remind of us of why we do what we do. I could never give the caregiving team of Senior Care Solutions, and the girls of The Collins House, enough praise for how they care for our Elders each and everyday. Girls, thank YOU for being YOU.

❤️ Smaller is safer. Smaller is better.

It was an honor and privilege to care for David Loucks during the final chapter of his journey with Parkinson's disease.

When we first met David and Catherine, she carried his care with unwavering devotion. As his needs increased, she gradually allowed us to walk alongside them on that journey—a trust for which we will always be grateful.

David was a remarkable man whose life reflected service, intellect, determination, and faith. A proud Army paratrooper, cartographer, computer programmer, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he lived by his personal motto, "Endeavor Forever."

During our time with him, David taught us much. He was always looking for the next meaningful conversation, eager to share ideas, challenge perspectives, and learn something new. He kept us laughing, thinking, and on our toes all at the same time. Even as Parkinson's disease changed many things, it never diminished his sharp mind, curiosity, or strength of character.

Though we were part of his story for only a short time, the impact he made on our team will last for years to come. We are grateful to have known him, grateful to have cared for him, and grateful to have witnessed a life so well lived.

To Catherine and the entire Loucks family, thank you for allowing us to be part of David's journey. We will remember him with great respect, admiration, and affection.

Endeavor Forever, David.

Join us in celebrating our THREE graduating seniors and all of the incredible young mentees that are a part of our Senior Care Solutions family. 🎓❤️

Kirsten Moore, Adlee Roth, and Addie Walden have each spent the last several years pursuing healthcare through the Jefferson County Area Technical School (ATS) Health Services program, earning certifications as CNAs and Patient Care Technicians while gaining valuable hands-on caregiving experience. Along the way, they have shown compassion, patience, dedication, and a true heart for serving others.

This fall, each of these young women will continue their education in the healthcare field — pursuing nursing, biology, and future careers centered around caring for others. We could not be more proud of all they have accomplished already and all that is ahead of them.

At Senior Care Solutions, we intentionally mentor and hire high school students because we believe young people thrive when they are given encouragement, responsibility, life skills, and meaningful opportunities to serve others. Watching these students grow into confident, hardworking, compassionate young adults is just one rewarding part of what we do.

Please join us in congratulating these graduates and wishing them the very best in this next chapter! You can read more about each of their accomplishments and future plans in the captions of their picture. ❤️

We are so grateful for the kind words families share about their experience with Senior Care Solutions. Testimonials like this remind us why we do what we do every day. ❤️

“Senior Care Solutions has truly been an answered prayer for our family. When Mom and Dad began having difficulty living independently, we started searching for a place that could support their daily living needs while still feeling like home.

From the moment we toured The Collins House, we knew it was special. The staff is absolutely top-notch — caring, compassionate, and genuinely loving toward every resident. We especially love the family atmosphere and the ability to visit anytime.

The residents enjoy fun activities both in the home and out in the community, which brings so much joy and engagement to their daily lives.

We highly recommend Senior Care Solutions for anyone looking for a safe, loving, family-centered model of care for their loved ones.

Jannah Oppermann and the entire staff are truly the BEST. We can never thank them enough for the care, kindness, and support they provide every single day. ❤️❤️”

Today marks 52 years of marriage for a truly remarkable couple.

While he is living with early-onset Alzheimer’s and no longer remembers that today is their anniversary, what hasn’t faded is the love he has for his wife. In moments of clarity, in the stories he still shares, and in the way he speaks about her—you can still see it.

His wife continues to show up for him every single day with unwavering dedication, caring for him with the same love and commitment that has carried them through more than five decades together.

We had the honor of capturing a few of his memories and reflections on their life together, and even through the challenges of Alzheimer’s, one thing is undeniable—his love for her remains.

Happy 52nd anniversary. 💛

We loved welcoming our friends from the Jefferson R7 Character Council for their spring visit!

The day was full of laughter and meaningful moments—from dyeing Easter eggs to participating in “The Lived Experience,” where students wore goggles to simulate visual deficits and gain a glimpse into challenges many of our elders face each day.

And no matter what we plan, BINGO with our elders is always the favorite tradition!

Thank you to these amazing students for bringing so much joy and compassion—we can’t wait for your next visit! 💛

Last night was truly special. I am incredibly honored to have been recognized as a Woman of Impact alongside so many amazing women in our community.

At Senior Care Solutions, our mission has always been simple — to care for Elders the way they once cared for us. Being able to serve seniors and support families during one of life’s most challenging seasons is a calling that I’m grateful for every single day.

This recognition belongs to so many people — our compassionate staff who bring heart and purpose to their work, the families who trust us with their loved ones, and everyone who has supported this mission along the way.

Thank you to Leader Publications for hosting such a wonderful evening and for celebrating the women who are working to make a difference in our community.

And to other women who may be chasing a dream or stepping into something new — you are enough. Run your own race and believe in something bigger than yourself.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support this mission. ❤️🙏
