It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of a dear friend and member of Fife Lake Area Genealogy, Mary Ann Aldridge. She was an active member and held the position of vice president until illness got in her way. She approached family history with a blend of curiosity, patience and respect. She had a gift for reminding us why we do this, to honor the people who came before us, and to keep their stories alive. Here she is dressed as one of her ancestors, her Great Grandmother Elizabeth Eady Aldridge, doing a walk-through presentation at a local cemetery. Mary loved to share what she learned and we are grateful for the time we had with her.
