Testicular cancer is the most common cancer for men in their 20s and 30s.

Early detection leads to better outcomes.

If you notice a lump, swelling, pain, heaviness or any change in your testicles, don’t brush it off and don’t wait to see if it goes away.

See your primary care provider. Don’t wait on it. Get it checked.

Some conversations feel awkward. Talking about changes in your body. Pain. Bleeding.

Your body tells you when something is wrong and these conversations save lives.

Cancer doesn’t wait — and neither should your care.

Bring up any unusual symptoms, ask about recommended screenings, and make your primary care provider your partner in prevention.

• Blood in your urine
• Persistent back pain on one side
• A lump or swelling

Often symptoms like these are caused by relatively minor, easily treatable conditions.

Kidney cancer is uncommon, but talking with your primary care provider about any changes in your body is important. If something feels unusual, talk to your doctor.

February is Gallbladder and Bile Duct Cancer Awareness Month 💚

These cancers are rare, but they deeply impact the lives of those diagnosed and their families. At Salish Cancer Center, we believe awareness leads to earlier conversations, earlier detection, and stronger support for our community.

What to Know:
• Gallbladder and bile duct cancers often don’t cause symptoms early on.
• Persistent abdominal pain, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), unexplained weight loss, or dark urine should never be ignored.
• Certain risk factors, including chronic inflammation, gallstones, and some liver conditions, can increase risk.

If something doesn’t feel right, talk with your provider. Early evaluation matters.

This month, we honor those affected by gallbladder and bile duct cancers and encourage open conversations about symptoms, risk, and care. Knowledge empowers us all. 💚

February is Cancer Prevention Month — a time to focus on what we can control.

At Salish Cancer Center, we know not all cancers are preventable. Some risks are genetic. Some are environmental. Some are simply outside of our control.

But many cancers are influenced by everyday choices — and small, consistent steps can make a powerful difference over time.

Prevention doesn’t have to be overwhelming. It looks like:
• Limiting alcohol
• Quitting or reducing to***co use
• Choosing water more often
• Moving your body each day
• Eating more fruits and vegetables
• Protecting your skin from the sun
• Talking with your provider about your family history

These are not dramatic changes. They’re steady ones.

Regular behaviors. Small steps. Big impact over time. If you’re not sure where to start, start with one thing. Then build from there.

Prevention is powerful.
