✨This year’s theme is “It Is Time To Prioritize Mental Health in the Workplace.”
✨Depression ranks among the top three workplace problems for employee assistance professionals, following only family crisis and stress.
✨Often times a depressed employee will not seek treatment because they fear the effect it will have on their job and they are concerned about confidentiality.
✨With early recognition, intervention, and support, most employees can overcome clinical depression and pick up where they left off.

✨Your mental health should be your priority!
✨When we work to prioritize our mental health, it allows for building positive life experiences and strengthening resiliency.
✨Someone who prioritizes their mental health might find it easier to balance work life, school and personal life, and it becomes easier to set boundaries and make time for rest, hobbies and social interaction.

📌 In late fall and winter, shorter daylight hours leave many people with little to no sun exposure, signaling the brain to create too much of the sleep-regulating hormone melatonin.
📌This overproduction of melatonin leads to seasonal affective disorder (SAD) , a mood disorder that affects an estimated 10 to 20 percent of the population.
📌One way to combat SAD is by ‘hacking’ happiness hormones! The four hormones that are often referred to as the "happiness hormones" are dopamine, serotonin, endorphins, and oxytocin. Here are some ways to increase them!☀️🍂💡

💫A cogent argument is a strong non-deductive argument that has true premises. And again, we say that cogent arguments are good.
💫A cogent argument is by definition non-deductive, which means that the premises are intended to establish probable (but not conclusive) support for the conclusion.
💫Furthermore, a cogent argument is strong, so the premises, if they were true, would succeed in providing probable support for the conclusion. And finally, the premises are actually true. So the conclusion indeed receives probable support.
