Robert D. Steinmeyer Jr.

Robert David Steinmeyer Jr., 66, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026. He was born August 12, 1959, in Athens Township, Ohio, to Robert David Steinmeyer Sr. and Kathryn (Nelson) Steinmeyer.

Bob was a member of the United States Navy, where he trained as a chef. Following his discharge, he enjoyed a successful career in the culinary field for many years. Later in life, Bob faced significant health challenges, including degenerative disc disease and other physical disabilities that ultimately prevented him from continuing to work.

Bob was a man of many interests and enjoyed spending his time fishing, hunting, collecting coins, and keeping up with current events. He found joy in the outdoors and took pride in his collections and hobbies.

Bob is survived by his siblings, Jennifer Taghavidinani, Theresa Clark, and Ronald Steinmeyer; his children, Sarah Steinmeyer, Robert Steinmeyer, Rachael White, and Brian Steinmeyer; his former wife, Jenny Newby; and his stepchildren, Leslie Newby and Allison Newby. He also leaves behind 22 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Steinmeyer Sr. and Kathryn Steinmeyer; and by his beloved daughter, Hillary Steinmeyer.

Bob will be remembered for his love of family, his resilience through life's challenges, and the many memories he created with those who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be Monday, June 22, 2026, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500). A graveside service will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Bob’s name may be made to City Mission of Findlay, 510 W. Main Cross St., Findlay, OH 45840.

Jane Eileen Davenport, 78, of Findlay, passed away at her residence, Saturday, June 13, 2026.

She was born August 29, 1947, in Upper Sandusky, to the late Max and Dorothy (Huston) Stillberger. Jane married Damon Davenport on October 19, 1996, and he survives.

Jane graduated from Upper Sandusky High School and Marion Technical College. She was the owner of Tasty Pastry and was a real estate broker with Realty Max. She enjoyed bowling, planting flowers, cake decorating, and home remodeling.

Those left behind to cherish Jane’s memory are her husband; daughter, Kendra (Joshua) Woodruff; grandchildren, Kaylee (Tony) Murnen, Dalton Woodruff; sister, Cheryl (Bill) Shellgrove; and in-laws, Robert Bash, Nancy Stillberger.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Keyonte Snow; and siblings, Karen Bash, Hilbern Stillberger.

Friends and family may visit from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500), where a memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Fuller presiding.

Betty Kay (Conley) Parker

November 13, 1952- June 11, 2026

Surrounded by her loving family, Betty Kay Parker, 73, of Kenton, Ohio, peacefully passed away at Blanchard Valley Hospital on June 11, 2026.

Born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Hobert and Anna (Wright) Conley. Betty was a devoted nurse who dedicated over 30 years to compassionately caring for patients and leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

Betty had a love of music and could often be found dancing whenever a good tune was played. She made the best fried chicken and deviled eggs and never missed an opportunity to share a bowl of salted caramel ice cream. Above all, she loved her family deeply, adoring every visit with her grandchildren and cherishing moments spent snuggling with her great-grandchildren.

She is survived by three siblings: Hobert (Sharon) Conley, Herbert (Shelby) Conley, and Gloria Nicol.

She will be missed deeply by her five children: John (Joan) Cordell, Kimberly (Tim) Meade, Angela (Justin) Johnson, Heather (Keith) Preston, and Tiffany (Cory) Dale.

She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Jeffrey (Cassie) Meade, Torri White, Breanna (Nick) Battisti, Kalee (Sean) Castle, Corie (Ralph) Bimbo, Gage (Kaylieanne) Nichols, Zane Preston, Cierra Meade, Payton Preston, Austin Meade, Trinity Preston, Josiah Preston, Kavin Preston, and Tatum Dale, Isla Dale, and Creek Dale.

Her legacy continues through her many beloved great-grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Hobert and Anna Conley; her sisters, Gaynelle Sage, Jean Reidmiller, Frieda Metcalf, Juanita Oberdier, and Goldie Knox; and her granddaughter, Marley Rayne Johnson.

In honor of Betty’s life, family and friends are invited to gather for a casual visitation and celebration of life dinner Thursday, June 18th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, located at 1010 East Franklin St., Kenton, Ohio. Feel free to come by for a few minutes or stay for the evening.

We take comfort in knowing she has completed her earthly journey while listening to the hymn she loved:

"I will cling to the old rugged cross and exchange it some day for a crown."

Norman O. Gannon, 94, of Tiffin, Findlay, and Zephyrhills, Florida, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Birchaven Village Nursing Home in Findlay.

He was born in Tiffin on July 28, 1931, the son of Charles and Mable Ruth (Ogden) Gannon. Norman was united in marriage to Evelyn Ilene Young on July 1, 1956, in Tiffin. Together they shared nearly 70 years of marriage and were blessed with three sons: David, Gary, and Glenn.

Norman graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School and attended Ohio Mechanics Institute where he earned an associate degree in Engineering in 1956. He owned and operated Gannon Construction, his own construction contracting business, for many years before retiring. Norman was also a proud United States Navy veteran who served his country during the Korean War.

A man of strong faith, Norman was a devoted member of St. Andrew’s Methodist Church in Findlay. He was also an active member of the American Legion in Tiffin, where he previously served as Commander from 1964 to 1966.

Norman is survived by his lovely wife, Evelyn; his three sons, David and Carol (Butzier) Gannon of Tiffin, Gary Gannon and Jane Browder of Willis, TX, and Glenn and Sheryl (O’Neill) Gannon of Findlay; one grandson, Benjamin and Jessica (Eicher) Gannon of Holland, OH; and numerous nieces, nephews, step grandchildren, and foster great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his two brothers, Charles Robert, and Orville Glade; and two sisters, Treva Jean Gillis, and Mary Alice (Gannon) Riggs.

Friends and family may visit from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2026, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500). Norman’s funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. following visitation with Pastor Kathy Davis officiating. Norman’s resting place will be held at a later date in Tymochtee Township Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Norman’s name may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Joyce Wilson, 95, of Findlay, passed away at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Monday, June 1, 2026.

She was born August 26, 1930, in Windsor, Ontario, to the late Carl and Petty (Littlewood) Richardson. Joyce married Richard Wilson in 1957, who preceded her in death. She lived in Windsor, Ontario, Livonia, Michigan, Independence, MO and Findlay, OH.

Joyce was a member of the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She worked in the payroll department for Kroger, doing payroll, for several years. She spoke of how blessed she was to spend many of her summers among friends in Spanish, Ontario, Canada on the North Channel of Lake Huron. She began crocheting hats and scarves for those less fortunate than herself while living in Livonia, Michigan 30 years ago. She continued the practice when she moved to Independence, Missouri and then in Findlay, Ohio. Over the past 5 years in Findlay, she gave approximately 700 hats and scarves to Hope House and the Findlay City Mission. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Those left behind to cherish Joyce’s memory are her son, David Wilson; grandchildren, Xanthe (Sonia) Paul, Zara Wilson, and Zedric Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her sister, Donna Borrowman.

There will be a visitation on June 14, 2026, from 2-3 pm followed by a Memorial Service at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500).

Angela Jean Miller, 57, departed this Earth Sunday, June 7, 2026, alongside family at Blanchard Valley Hospital.

Angela was born August 9, 1968, to Nina (Weber) Hall and Edward McCoy. She was a devoted mother to her two sons, Richard (Lauren) Mercer, Jr. of Findlay and Andrew (Elizabeth Gabbard) Mercer of Findlay; and to her two grandchildren, Emerson and Onalee Mercer.

Surviving is her husband, Kent Miller, of Findlay and her brother, Matthew McCoy, of Findlay. She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward L. McCoy II, who passed away shortly after birth.

Angela was a good and protective mother who loved sharing memories with her family. She enjoyed horses, country music, watching the Golden Girls and spending time with those she loved.

She spent a good portion of her childhood in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, moving back to Findlay her sophomore year of high school. She is a graduate of Findlay High School.

In her adult life, she worked at both Food Town and the Lowe’s Distribution Center. While working, she obtained a surgical technology degree from Brown Mackie College.

The family thanks the staff at Blanchard Valley Dialysis Services and The Heritage senior living community.

The family has requested there are no services for Angela.

Donations can be sent in Angela’s honor to the American Kidney Foundation, and memorials can be sent in her name to The Courier, Richard’s place of employment, 701 W. Sandusky St., Findlay, OH 45840.

Donald L. Long Sr.

Donald W. Long Sr., 76, of North Baltimore, passed away Monday, June 1, 2026, at his residence.

He was born September 18, 1949, in Findlay, Ohio, to the late Elmer and Thelma (Kirian) Long. Donald married Helen Billings in 1972, and she preceded him in death in 2007. He later married Cathy Hummel in 2010, and she preceded him in death in 2024.

Donald was a 1969 graduate of Elmwood High School. Following high school, he attended ITT Technical Institute in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he earned an associate degree. He dedicated 41 years of service to Continental Structural Plastics, formerly known as Budd Company's Plastics Division, in North Baltimore before retiring.

Donald enjoyed collecting trains and spending time fishing. He appreciated the simple pleasures in life and treasured the time spent with his family.

He is survived by his children, Donald (Cindy) Long Jr. and Daniel (Chastity) Long, both of North Baltimore; stepchildren, John (Kim) Vaughn Jr. of Pemberville and Richard Vaughn of Findlay; nine grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Long, and his second wife, Cathy Long.

In keeping with Donald's wishes, no services will be held. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500) is honored to serve Donald’s family.
