I will be giving a 15-minute presentation at NAEMT EMS World Expo in Orlando on Thursday September 24th as part of their Stand and Deliver event. This is an opportunity to receive immediate verbal and written feedback on how I do as a presenter. There are roughly 15 others participating. One lucky individual will be chosen to be a featured presenter at World Expo in 2027.

Regardless of what your political affiliations are (if any), please do not take these freedoms for granted. 12 people were injured at the recent shooting at a street festival in Toledo this past Saturday. Thankfully, none of the victims lost their lives.

In light of this, Apex Emergency Response Training will be offering FREE ACS "Stop The Bleed" classes scheduled in the month of July. Simply contact me to schedule a class for your group and we will get you on the calendar.

It has been a busy 24 hours!

We started Monday night by teaching Rescue Task Force to the Apollo EMT-B class in Bradner. This morning was Rescue Task Force with the morning Apollo EMT-B class, followed by a CPR class for the graduating high school seniors at Millstream Career Center's Culinary Program, then a private CPR class, and finished the day teaching Rescue Task Force to the evening Apollo EMT-B class.

Teaching is our passion at Apex Emergency Response Training. We will be adding ACLS and PALS to our class offerings soon. If you are a paramedic who needs recertified or certified for the first time, please reach out!

About Apex Emergency Response Training:

Apex was founded by Shawn McFarland. Shawn is a Captain with Liberty Township Fire Department in Hancock County, Ohio. He is also an Advanced EMT serving with several local EMS agencies. Shawn is a certified Fire/Emergency Services Instructor, Tactical Emergency Casualty Care Instructor (and an Instructor for NW Ohio TECC), AHA BLS CPR Instructor, and a trained Active Shooter Response Training Instructor, and is a part-time Instructor at Apollo Career Center in Lima, Ohio (Public Safety). Additionally, Shawn serves as a member of the Western Ohio Critical Incident Stress Management Team and is Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) trained.
