We switched our small business to Verizon internet and fax services just over ONE month ago, and it has been an absolute disaster ever since.
Since activating service, we have had to contact Verizon no less than 10 TIMES because our service has either:
• Been slowed to unusable speeds
• Been intermittently disconnected
• Been completely shut off
• Been repeatedly flagged for “fraud”
Trying to get support has been equally frustrating. Calling the “business” support line rarely gets you to the actual business department. Instead, you get transferred over and over, disconnected, and forced to repeat the same story every single time.
We have been given multiple different “business support” phone numbers by various Verizon representatives, yet the AI system still routes us incorrectly:
800-465-4054
800-922-0204
888-483-7200
800-929-0204
800-483-7356
That is absolutely ridiculous for a company supposedly providing BUSINESS services.
This past Wednesday, I spent OVER 1.5 HOURS on the phone with Level 2 Tech Support because our internet speeds were crawling. We were mysteriously disconnected during the call, despite the technician having my callback number — and nobody ever called back.
Thursday the service remained extremely slow.
Friday morning there was NO SERVICE AGAIN.
When speaking to Level 1 Tech Support on May 8th, the representative identified as “Em” (ID #1047092296) stated there was software on the router designed to intentionally slow or intermittently interrupt service and claimed it was being removed so this would stop happening.
Then on May 9th at approximately 3:25 PM, we AGAIN received an email from Verizon warning about “little to no usage” and telling us to contact Verizon to avoid disruption of service.
Maybe the reason there’s “little to no usage” is because Verizon keeps disrupting the service themselves.
This is now costing our business both TIME and MONEY every single time we have to call Verizon. During outages, we were unable to process credit card transactions, which directly caused lost revenue and disrupted business operations.
Small businesses rely on stable communication and internet to operate. We switched to Verizon expecting reliable BUSINESS service, not constant outages, fraud accusations, endless transfers, repeated disruptions, and wasted hours.
At this point, if Verizon cannot provide reliable service and a permanent solution immediately, we will be forced to establish services elsewhere.
Our next steps, if this issue is not resolved immediately, will be filing formal complaints with the FCC and the Better Business Bureau regarding the repeated service interruptions, business losses, and inability to obtain proper support.
We want accountability, answers, and a permanent fix.
