That’s why we partnered with Kaibab Behavioral Services to provide specialized training for our team to better understand and care for neurodivergent patients, with a particular focus on pediatric patients with autism.

This is something we are truly passionate about, and we hope our efforts inspire more medical practices to incorporate this type of training into their teams. When we better understand our patients, we can provide better care.

Some mountains become part of your life story. Some summits become milestones. And sometimes, getting back to the top is the greatest victory of all. 🏔️

In 1976, at just 17 years old, George first summited Handies Peak in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado as part of the Colorado Centennial celebration on August 1st.

Fifty years later, he was looking forward to climbing Handies again for Colorado’s 150th celebration. As the only member of his original group still hiking and climbing, the return to the summit held special meaning.

Then, in February, everything changed. Pain in his lower back led to an MRI and the diagnosis that he would need an L3/L4 spinal fusion.

Fortunately, the surgery went extremely well, and George’s recovery was remarkably quick. With determination and hard work, he was able to begin training again, and just 4½ months after surgery, he found himself back on top of Handies Peak on August 1, 2026, enjoying the same incredible views he had seen 50 years earlier.

George is quick to give credit to the people who helped make that comeback possible, including Dr. Ross Jones, Patrick Parten, and the entire surgical team.
