We recently hosted a Skills Fair to help our health care heroes learn from colleagues across a variety of specialties. Team members shared their expertise, exchanged valuable insights and discussed best practices; all with the shared goal of continuing to provide exceptional care to our patients.

We’re a thorough bunch at Baptist Medical Center Clay, so we hosted TWO Skills Fairs last week to make sure every member of our team learns something new! 💙

We had some ballers at yesterday as we welcomed the Clay County Storms to our campus! ⛈️🏀

The Storms are a brand-new American Basketball Association team, and they’re elevating this community’s average height and hoops skills in the same way we’re elevating health care. They’re committed to being part of the community here in Clay by supporting youth, creating opportunities for young athletes and giving back locally. 💙

🎉 Congratulations to Ed Hubel, president of Baptist Medical Center Clay, for being recognized among Becker's Hospital Review Community Hospital CEOs to Know!

Since joining Baptist Health Jacksonville in 1996, Ed has dedicated more than 30 years to health care leadership and has played a key role in advancing care across Jacksonville. As president of Baptist Clay, Ed has guided the growth of a 102-bed medical and surgical center that opened in 2022, expanding access to more than 20 specialties, including labor and delivery, orthopedics, robotic-assisted surgery and cancer care.

His commitment to safety and excellence has helped Baptist Clay earn an “A” patient safety rating from The Leapfrog Group for the past two years.

Ed’s leadership previously helped Baptist Medical Center Nassau achieve 14 consecutive Leapfrog “A” ratings, recognition as a Leapfrog Top Hospital and a Top 100 Rural & Community Hospital and a ranking among the nation’s top 5% of hospitals for patient satisfaction.

Every member of our team pours their heart into caring for our patients, and that kind of dedication deserves care in return. 💙

Last week, our Spiritual Care team brought their Care Cart to units across the hospital, creating moments for team members to pause, reflect and recharge. They shared calming essential oils and invited staff to create "messages in a bottle" filled with encouraging words and inspiration.

It was such a thoughtful reminder that caring for others starts with caring for ourselves. Thank you to our Spiritual Care team for supporting our caregivers in so many meaningful ways. ☺️

Our commitment to this community extends well beyond our hospital doors, so we were to help Waste Not Florida combat food insecurity in our area. 💙

Our Director of Nursing and nurse managers got to work assembling grocery bags for more than 125 families ahead of the Seeds of Love and Saved 2 Serve Back-to-School event. It was wonderful to see members of our community rally around such a worthy cause, and more than 2,300 backpacks, 1,100 new pairs of shoes, new clothing for 1,241 students, and nutritious food will now be given to families in need. 🎒
