🌙🌙🌙Tonight’s Thought🌙🌙🌙

Let Jesus Work on What Hurts

There are things we know are hurting us, but we’ve gotten used to living with them.
Like a cavity, spiritual decay can hide beneath the surface.
👉🏻You can smile.
👉🏻Go to church.
👉🏻Worship.
👉🏻Pray.

And still have something inside that needs attention.
That’s why David prayed:

📖 Psalm 51:10 (KJV)
“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”

Tonight, don’t ask Jesus to make you comfortable with what’s destroying you.

Ask Him to remove it.
If He says forgive—forgive.
If He says repent—repent.
If He says change—change.
If He says let something go—let it go.

If He reveals something painful, don’t run from Him. That’s the very place He wants to heal.

📖 1 John 1:9 (KJV)
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

You don’t have to hide the decay from the One who already sees it.
Bring it to Jesus.
Let the Holy Ghost examine your heart.
Let God remove what is poisoning you.
And let Him rebuild you stronger than you were before. ❤️‍🔥

Don’t protect what God is trying to remove.
Let Him work. 🕊️

Jesus,
On tonight I give You every hidden wound, sinful habit, bitterness, and broken place in me. Search me and reveal what needs to change. Help me surrender instead of resist Your correction. Cleanse my heart, heal what is wounded, and make me whole.
In Jesus’ name, Amen. ❤️‍🔥🕊️

A dentist doesn’t expose a cavity to shame you. They expose it because they want to save the tooth.

Jesus does the same thing with our hearts.

When the Holy Ghost puts His finger on something in us, don’t become defensive. Ask, “Lord, what are You trying to heal?”

He isn’t exposing you to destroy you.

He is exposing what is hurting you so He can restore you. ❤️‍🔥

📖 Psalm 139:23-24 (KJV)
“Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

Let Him search. Let Him cleanse. Let Him restore.

You are not beyond repair. 🕊️

Decay grows in places we refuse to examine.

The same can happen spiritually. Bitterness, unforgiveness, hidden sin, resentment, and wounds can quietly grow when we keep them in the dark.

But what happens when we bring them into the light?

Jesus can heal what we finally surrender. ❤️‍🔥

Don’t hide what hurts. Don’t protect what is poisoning you. Bring it to the One who already sees it.

📖 1 John 1:9 (KJV)
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Ignoring the pain doesn’t make it disappear. Neither does hiding the places in our hearts that need healing.

Sometimes Jesus has to expose what hurts before He can restore it. His correction isn’t rejection—it’s love. ❤️‍🔥

Whatever you’ve been trying to manage, hide, or tolerate, bring it to Jesus. Surrender isn’t defeat. It’s where healing begins.

📖 Psalm 51:10 (KJV)
“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”

Don’t run from the examination. Let Jesus work. 🕊️

Don’t Leave the Decay Untreated

Think about a cavity.
At first, it may be small. Maybe it barely hurts, so we ignore it.

But decay doesn’t heal itself. It spreads.

Our hearts can be the same way.
👉🏻Bitterness.
👉🏻Unforgiveness.
👉🏻Pride.
👉🏻Secret sin.
👉🏻Anger.
👉🏻Addiction.
👉🏻Wounds we refuse to deal with.

We can cover them, ignore them, and pretend they’re fine—but ignoring something doesn’t make it disappear.

📖 Hebrews 12:15 (KJV)
“Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;”

God sometimes puts His finger on something uncomfortable because He wants to heal it before it spreads.

A dentist doesn’t expose a cavity to shame you. They expose it to save the tooth. And Jesus does the same thing with our hearts.

📖 Psalm 139:23-24 (KJV)
“Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

So don’t fight the examination.
Ask:
🦷 What have I been ignoring?
🦷 What have I normalized?
🦷 What needs to be removed?
🦷 What is the Holy Ghost asking me to surrender?

And when He shows you—don’t defend the decay. Let Him treat it.

📖 1 John 1:9 (KJV)
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Jesus doesn’t expose what’s broken or dead in you to destroy you. He exposes it so He can restore you. ❤️‍🔥

Jesus,
I need you to search my heart and show me anything I have been ignoring. Give me the courage to repent, surrender, forgive, and let go of whatever is causing decay in my life. Cleanse me, heal me, and make me stronger through Your Holy Ghost.

In Jesus’ name, Amen. ❤️‍🔥

🌙🌙🌙Tonight’s Thought🌙🌙🌙

Stop Fighting the Person You’re Supposed to Fight Beside

Maybe tonight you’re angry.
Maybe you’re hurt.
Maybe you’re exhausted from the same argument happening over and over.
Maybe you’re lying beside the person you married and wondering:

“How did we get here?”

👉🏻You love them.
But you’re frustrated.👈🏻

👉🏻You want to be understood.
They want to be understood.👈🏻

👉🏻You want them to change.
They want you to change.👈🏻

And somewhere in the middle of all of it, the enemy whispers:
“You’re better off without each other.”

Be careful.
Sometimes there are legitimate reasons a marriage needs serious intervention.

But sometimes two wounded people are being manipulated into believing that their spouse is the enemy.

They’re not.
The enemy is the one who wants division.

📖 2 Corinthians 2:11 (KJV)
“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.”

Don’t be ignorant of his devices.
👉🏻He knows exactly what buttons to push.
👉🏻He knows what hurts.
👉🏻He knows what makes you angry.
👉🏻He knows what makes you withdraw.
👉🏻He knows what makes your spouse defensive.

And if both of you respond from wounded flesh instead of submitting to the Holy Ghost? The enemy doesn’t have to do much. You’ll do the dividing for him.

That’s why tonight, before you go to bed angry, ask yourself:
“What is really happening here?”

👉🏻Is this disagreement actually about the dishes?
Or is it exhaustion underneath?👈🏻
👉🏻Is this really about money?
Or is there fear underneath it?👈🏻
👉🏻Is this really about what they said?
Or is there an old wound underneath it?👈🏻
👉🏻Is this really about tonight?
Or have you brought five years of unresolved hurt into one conversation?👈🏻

Slow down.
Pray.
Listen.

And remember:
Your marriage is not your battlefield.
Your marriage is a covenant.

📖 Matthew 19:6 (KJV)
“Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.”

That doesn’t mean marriage is perfect. It means it’s worth protecting.

Tonight, don’t keep score.
🙅🏻‍♀️Don’t rehearse every failure.
🙅🏻‍♀️Don’t scroll through somebody else’s marriage and wish yours looked different.
🙅🏻‍♀️Don’t secretly build an emotional connection with somebody who isn’t your spouse.
🙅🏻‍♀️Don’t use silence as punishment.
🙅🏻‍♀️Don’t weaponize vulnerability.
🙅🏻‍♀️Don’t threaten divorce simply to win an argument.

And don’t let pride keep you from saying:
“I’m sorry.”

If you’ve been wrong, repent.
If you’ve been hurt, communicate.
If you’ve sinned, confess.
If you’ve been unforgiving, release it.
If you need help, ask for it.
If you need boundaries, establish them wisely.

And if both of you belong to Jesus, get on your knees together.
Because sometimes the breakthrough doesn’t begin with another argument.

Sometimes it begins with:
“Baby, let’s pray.”
And then two people who were fighting each other suddenly remember:

We’re supposed to be fighting for each other.

📖 Ephesians 4:3 (KJV)
“Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

Unity takes endeavoring. It takes 👉🏻Effort.
👉🏻Humility.
👉🏻Patience.
👉🏻Forgiveness.
👉🏻Truth.
👉🏻Prayer.

And sometimes professional or pastoral help. You don’t have to pretend everything is okay.
You don’t have to ignore serious problems. You don’t have to tolerate sin or abuse.

But you also don’t have to surrender your marriage to division simply because you’re currently hurting.

👏🏻Recover together.
👏🏻Recover communication.
👏🏻Recover trust.
👏🏻Recover prayer.
👏🏻Recover laughter.
👏🏻Recover affection.
👏🏻Recover friendship.
👏🏻Recover the ability to disagree without destroying one another.
👏🏻Recover the habit of reaching for each other instead of withdrawing.

And most importantly:
Recover your position together at the feet of Jesus.

Because the strongest marriage isn’t the one that never has problems.
It’s the one that learns:
“When the problem comes, we don’t abandon the covenant. We run toward Jesus together.”

Tonight, if you can, take your spouse’s hand. Even if you’re still hurt.

And pray:
“Jesus, help us.”

That’s enough to begin.
Because there is no such thing as a one-person marriage. And there shouldn’t be a one-person fight.

You are not enemies.
You are two people who need Jesus.

And if the enemy has been working overtime to divide you, it’s time to stop cooperating with him.
❤️‍🔥 Turn toward each other.
❤️‍🔥 Turn toward Jesus.
❤️‍🔥 And fight for what God gave you.

Jesus,
Tonight, help us lay down our weapons against each other.
Heal our wounds. Expose the enemy’s tactics. Remove pride, bitterness, resentment, temptation, and unforgiveness.

Teach us to communicate instead of withdraw, forgive instead of keep score, and pray instead of attack.
Help us become teammates again.

Put Jesus at the center of our marriage and let Your Holy Ghost lead us both. Where we have sinned, give us repentance.
Where we have been wounded, give us healing.
Where we have been divided, bring restoration according to Your will.
We surrender our marriage to You.

In Jesus’ name, Amen. ❤️‍🔥🕊️

The enemy wants you looking across the room at each other when you should be standing side by side against everything trying to destroy your covenant.

Fight for unity.
Fight for purity.
Fight for trust.
Fight for your family.
Fight for your future.

And above everything else—

Fight on your knees. 🙏🏻

There is power in two people deciding:

“We may have problems, but we will not become enemies.”

“We may be wounded, but we will seek healing.”

“We may disagree, but we will not destroy each other.”

“We will put Jesus first and fight for what God has given us.”

❤️‍🔥 Together is powerful. But together with Jesus is stronger.
