Doctor Fellenbaum M.D. is board certified with American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as a Fellow with the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. If your organization or woman’s interest group would like to learn more about issues related to women’s health, Doctor Fellenbaum is a certified lecturer for the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology as well as a National Councilor for the North American Society of Vulvo Vaginal Diseases. As a presenter, he is available to share his expertise in vulvodynia. In addition, he specializes in the treatment of HPV disease following the most current guidelines established by the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. Doctor Fellenbaum also maintains membership in the North American and International Society for the Study of Vulvar Disease and the International Pelvic Pain Society. If you are suffering from pelvic discomfort, Doctor Fellenbaum may be able to help you. He is recognized in his field for the development of treatments to alleviate chronic pain conditions such as vulvodynia, a condition that affects 6 to 10% of the female population. In addition, he was awarded the Stanley Marinoff Vulvodynia Career Development Award and has been given national grants to further develop a treatment for chronic pain syndrome of the ge***al tract including the v***a, va**na, and cervix. Heslinger MD, FACOG
With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Heslinger is highly experienced in both traditional as well as the newest technological procedures. A native of Flint, Michigan, Dr. Heslinger obtained his BS from the University of Michigan, attended Wayne State University School of Medicine, and then completed his internship and residency at Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego, California. After his discharge from the US Navy as a lieutenant commander, he returned to fulfill his dream of serving the women of Flint and the surrounding areas. Dr. Heslinger is board certified in OB/GYN and has years of experience in obstetrics, well-woman care, and gynecological abnormalities affecting women of all age groups. He is certified in the newest Laparoscopic, pelvic and Robotic surgeries. His special field of interest is Urogynecological evaluation and treatments. He is currently taking new patients. Dr. Laforest was born in lovely Ann Arbor, Michigan (GO BLUE!!). And was raised in nearby Whitmore Lake, graduating in 1998. She knew even at a very young age that medicine was her passion! She attended Eastern Michigan University, obtaining degrees in Biology and Chemistry with Honor Degrees in Biology and General Studies in 2002. She attended Wayne State University School of Medicine graduating with a medical degree in 2006. Dr. Laforest was then accepted into the University of Cincinnati Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program, completing her training in 2010. After graduation, she returned to Michigan to start
her practice and be closer to her very large extended family. She began practicing at Memorial Healthcare in Owosso, where she practiced from 2010 until 2021. There she served as Chairwoman of the OB/GYN department for 5 years. Dr. LaForest also participated in medical student and advanced practice provider education, proctoring many students from surrounding universities. Dr. LaForest special interest and expertise in minimally invasive surgery with a practice centered around Robotic Surgical Procedures, Laparoscopic procedures and Pelvic Pain disorders. Endometriosis is also a great passion of hers. Helping women regain a functional lifestyle is a large focus of her practice. She is also certified in a minimally invasive treatment option to treat fibroid tumors of the uterus without removal or hysterectomy called the Acessa Procedure. Dr. LaForest still resides in Owosso with the love of her life and their wonderful son! They are her WORLD, and she enjoys their family adventures! Dr. Laforest is looking forward to embarking on this next chapter at Flint OBGYN and to continue to see her established patients and many new patients to come with Flint OB/GYN!
