A favorite meal.

Holding hands.

Listening to an old song.

Sitting together in comfortable silence.

Sharing one more story.

Hospice care focuses on helping patients experience comfort, dignity, and meaningful connection during an important season of life.

Because sometimes the smallest moments become the ones families remember forever. 💛

But life doesn’t always give us a warning that a moment will be our last.

So live a little. 🤍

Make the ordinary days the ones worth remembering.

Sometimes, the most meaningful gift you can give is your time.

Hospice volunteers may provide companionship, help with administrative projects, support community activities, or simply offer a calming presence.

You do not have to be a medical professional. You only need compassion, dependability, and a willingness to help.

Tag someone who would make an incredible hospice volunteer.

We love having the opportunity to provide hospice education to our community partners! 💙

Today, our very own Lana spent time with the team at Marvin and Betty Danto Healthcare Center, leading a Hospice 101 class and sharing more about what hospice care is, when it may be appropriate, and how hospice can support patients and their families.

Education and strong community partnerships are such an important part of helping families feel informed, supported, and confident when navigating end-of-life care.

Thank you to Danto for welcoming us and allowing us to share what we love to do! 🦢💙

What do you say to someone who is grieving?

“I am here with you.”

“I am thinking about you.”

“Would you like to talk about them?”

“I can bring dinner on Tuesday.”

“You do not have to respond. I just wanted you to know I care.”

You do not need perfect words. Your presence matters more.

Many people avoid reaching out to someone who is grieving because they are afraid of saying the wrong thing.

You do not need to fix the pain or find the perfect words. A simple message, a specific offer of help, or a willingness to listen can mean more than you realize.

Save this post for the next time you are unsure what to say.
