Today is June 4th, and we are counting down. Twenty-four days until the 80th Twigg Family Reunion!!! Yes, June 28, 2026 will be such fun and we will have a Book which celebrates 80 continuous years of FAMILY! Get ready!

Ok, we're getting ready! June 28, 2026! Send your articles to Richard Twigg for the "Twiggtown Chronicle" by May 31st. Here's just a sampling of what awaits you at the Reunion: excellent food, family ties and memories, fun for children and adults, alike; a dessert contest, seed spitting contest, adult bingo, the Twiggtown miniature drugstore, watermelon, lemonade, sweet iced tea and so much more. YES, our 80th Twigg Family Reunion! Who does that? WE DO! At the Union Grove Pavilion, Flintstone, Md.,10:00 AM - 3:00 PM., Wait! There's so much more. If you are a Twigg and haven't been or if you haven't been in a while, "C'mon down! We will have copies of the 80th Twigg Family Book for you to peruse, review and choose to purchase on-line! What? Again, who does that? We Twiggs do! So come and sit a spell. Enjoy the activities and welcome, Cuzin! The Twiggs of Western Maryland can't wait to meet you.

As we prepare for our 80th, Yes!, 80th consecutive Twigg Family Reunion (I mean who does that? We do!) Date: 6/28/2026. Time to recollect. What was your favorite activity? Mine...Gathering together, eating wonderful food, the tug-of-war between the blue-eyed and brown-eyed Twiggs, swimming at the bridge by the creek pool, craw-dad hunting, the games, and, of course, watermelon eating. Oh, I forgot to mention, the seed spitting contest! LOL! Wow! What a great time of year!

What food do you look forward to eating at the Twigg reunions? Are there foods that used to be popular but don't make it to the reunion now? Are there reunion foods now that didn't exist in past reunions?

Condolences to our cousins and relatives of Dorothea (Twigg) Miller. She is the daughter of Melvin Eugene Twigg and Magdelena Logsdon, granddaughter of William U. Twigg and Virginia Eyler. Her arrangements are at Grantsville, Maryland today and tomorrow. Friday, March 6, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Don DeMars officiating. Interment will be in the Grantsville Cemetery.
