Congratulations to our August Employee of the Month Katie Loehr!

“I would like to nominate Katie Loehr for the Employee of the Month. She works in surgery but last week while walking by a patient’s room she helped out. She saw a patient had a mess all over the floor and the Med Surg staff were all busy. She helped to clean it up without anyone asking for her help. We need more employees like her, willing to help even if it’s not her patient or her department. You are appreciated, Katie.”

Clay County Hospital was proud to assist another local camp this summer and donate funds towards a new AED machine to Union Grove Camp in Wayne County.

This life‑saving device gives campers, volunteers, and staff fast access to critical emergency support when every second counts.

We’re committed to keeping our community and service area safe, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to support the people who make camp such a meaningful experience. ❤️

This year the Clay County Clay County Hospital Auxiliary Flora Illinois awarded their annual scholarship to Flora student Elise Duke!

The Auxiliary each year opens their applications to students from Flora, Louisville and Clay City and will award a scholarship to one student in each town if qualified applications are received. They want to encourage students from each town to be sure and apply next year if they are thinking of going into a healthcare field.

Congratulations to Elise! And thank you to the CCH Auxiliary for supporting our future healthcare workers!

Clay County Hospital is recruiting a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Please share!!

The ideal candidate will be qualified to provide psychotherapy and medication evaluation/management to children and adults having mental health and/or substance use disorders. The provider will also offer evaluation and ongoing services to consumers residing in facilities, such as CILA's and nursing homes. The provider will work under the supervision of the consulting psychiatrist or medical doctor. The provider will function within the scope of practice defined by state license and CCH Medical Staff bylaws.

Starting pay is: $61.53/hour and increases with experience.
