💙 He’s Here! Welcome, Kallahan Wilson! 💙
Our sweet boy made his arrival weighing 8 lbs 8 oz and measuring 21.5 inches long, and we are completely in love.
As most of y’all know, our boys’ names had to start with a K, and I wanted Kallahan and Klyde to share the same initials, so we knew his middle name had to start with a W. We went back and forth on names for months! I really wanted another family name, but we just couldn’t settle on the perfect fit.
When Klyde first found out he was getting a baby brother, he insisted we name him “Cow.” 😂 Ever since then, I’ve loved the name Kal, but we wanted a strong name that paired well with Klyde. When I looked up the meaning of Kallahan, I discovered it shares the same meaning as Kelly—“bright-headed warrior.” While he may not be bright-headed like his big brother, he will absolutely be a warrior for Christ. He is our second miracle, and we know God has great plans for his life. 🙌
His middle name, Wilson, honors family as well. Since Klyde carries my maiden name, we chose my grandmother Dorothy’s maiden name for Kal. 💙
To make his arrival even more special, he was born on his Pawpaw Kenneth’s birthday! 🎉
Our hearts are overflowing. His big brother is absolutely over the moon and has embraced his new role better than we could have imagined.
We also can’t say enough wonderful things about the team at Keller. They went above and beyond to help make this transition into a family of four so special. They even allowed Klyde to “cut the umbilical cord” and help give Kal his first bath. 🥹
When I watched Kenley become a father I fell even more in love with him 😍. He is so incredibly good at it. And while becoming parents was so special, there is something uniquely precious about watching your first baby become a big brother. 🥹💙
A huge thank you to my mom, dad, Aunt Jess, and Klyde’s big cousins for loving on him and helping take care of him while we recover. We are so thankful for our village and for the many blessings God has poured over our family.
