We are proud to share that Dr. Shields was invited to serve as moderator for the Tuesday session of the 2026 Mississippi Academy of Family Physicians (MAFP) Annual Scientific Assembly.
During his 35-year career as a physician, Dr. Shields has missed this annual meeting only once—a testament to his commitment to lifelong learning and providing the highest quality care to his patients.
Our providers had an excellent week of continuing medical education, with lectures covering medication updates, dementia screening and emerging treatments, fall prevention and assessment, AI integration in healthcare, and many other important topics.
