Meet Vice President of Management Services, Billie Wingfield! Bringing over 23 years of professional experience in senior care, Billie oversees all operations of the Memory care and Assisted living facilities under Senior Housing Management.
Her experience started when she first became a caregiver. "I saw how much change needed to be had in the world of long term care" says Wingfield. "It struck a chord, and I was motivated to create the change I wanted to see; for the benefit of residents, their families and staff."
When Billie is in our community, you can either find her with our residents and their families, advocating for person centered care, or mentoring her fellow caregivers. "It brings me such joy to see them become Resident Care Coordinators and Executive Directors" says Wingfield. "They are the future of resident care and to have a part in bringing them up is an honor."

Meet our Chief Operating Officer of SHM, Carl Mason! Carl has been working in senior care since he was a teenager and has worked through all positions which gives him the in's and out's of long term care facilities and how to best serve his residents and staff. “ Our main priority always lies with our staff. Without happy staff, we don't have happy residents. It's a chain reaction of people taking care of each other.”
Carl provides continuous supervision of all operations, while providing a safe, light hearted work environment and home. In 2019, SHM took over New Friends of Florence, and changed the way people look at long term care. “I have the ability to make a difference and drive change for the better” says Mason. “I get to make day to day decisions that affect every resident, care provider and how people are trained to treat our residents. It’s a large umbrella to hold, but underneath it, are our residents, staff and families being treated with dignity and respect.”
